<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>General Description:</b></h2>
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>We're looking for a passionate and dedicated Certified VPK Teacher to guide our classrooms at Fuller Academy. In this vital role, to provide early childhood education in our Voluntary Prekindergarten program. This teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing age-appropriate lessons, monitoring student progress, ensuring a safe and engaging classroom, and using approved curricula to meet the state's early learning standards.</b></h2>
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Essential Responsibilities:</b></h2>
<ul><li><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Plans and arranges classrooms into distinctive learning areas that promote effective learning.</b></h2>
</li><li><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Conduct student assessments and develop individualized education plans to meet specific developmental, educational, and grade-level standards.</b></h2>
</li><li><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Foster parents&rsquo; participation through planning classroom activities.</b></h2>
</li><li><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Regularly communicate with parents through conferences, written updates, and calls to share student progress, upcoming events, classroom activities, and individualized education plan details.</b></h2>
</li><li><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Works closely with the Director in developing strategies in appropriate standards-based instruction, program implementation, supervision, and evaluation.</b></h2>
</li><li><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Attends workshops and meetings as deemed necessary.</b></h2>
</li><li><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Attends all required staff and parent meetings/activities</b></h2>
</li><li><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Interacts with various stakeholders to foster a positive relationship between the school and the community school network, community organizations, and leaders.</b></h2>
</li><li><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Performs other related duties as needed</b></h2>
</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Minimum Experience Required:</b></h2>
<ul><li><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Baccalaureate or advanced degree in Elementary Education Required (or a related field with a state-approved teacher preparation component).</b></h2>
</li><li><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Certification in VPK.</b></h2>
</li><li><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to professionally and effectively communicate with educators, parents, and community leaders.</b></h2>
</li><li><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</b></h2>
</li><li><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Thorough understanding of the instructional methodology.</b></h2>
</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Language Skills:</b></h2>
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>This role requires a strong command of the English language, including the ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional documents and technical procedures. You should be proficient in typing reports, entering data, and generally possess the computer skills needed for the role. Effective communication in English is key.</b></h2>
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Physical Requirements/Work Environment:</b></h2>
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this position. This position requires a moderate amount of sitting, walking, and the frequent use of hands and arms. Talking and listening will be a major component. Occasionally, light lifting will be required. The ability to focus with the eyes for close range and be able to distinguish colors is required. Additionally, the work environment is a typical climate-controlled office environment, and the noise is usually moderate, but in occasional situations, louder noise will be prevalent.</b></h2>
