Your enthusiasm for delivering exceptional patient service and attention to detail will help foster a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.Duties<ul><li>Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service at the front desk.</li><li>Schedule appointments efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.</li><li>Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and handle medical billing and collections with accuracy.</li><li>Manage patient records by filing, updating, and reviewing medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.</li><li>Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages.</li><li>Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information and updating medical histories.</li><li>Support administrative tasks such as data entry, typing reports, and maintaining office supplies to ensure clinic efficiency.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Proven experience working in a medical office environment or healthcare setting, preferably in clinics or dental offices.</li><li>Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, Dentrix, Eaglesoft or similar platforms.</li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding for accurate documentation review and billing processes.</li><li>Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and health information management practices.</li><li>Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and office management software.</li><li>Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively.</li><li>Prior experience with insurance verification, medical billing/coding, and clinic scheduling enhances your candidacy.
