*CANDIDATES REQUIRED TO BE AVAILABLE Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, minimum 2 year commitment*Join our dynamic team at The Foot Doctor, PLLC, a newly established practice right next to Inova Fairfax Hospital, dedicated to providing exceptional podiatric care. We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support our healthcare team and ensure the smooth operation of our clinic. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical and administrative skills and a passion for patient care.Key Responsibilities:**Clinical Duties:**- Assist the podiatrist with patient examinations and procedures, including but not limited to wound care, nail treatments, and orthotic fittings.- Prepare examination rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.- Take and record patients' vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.- Educate patients on foot care, postoperative care, and use of medical devices.- Assist with minor surgical procedures.**Administrative Duties:**- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and maintain accurate patient records.- Handle phone calls, answer patient inquiries, and relay messages to the podiatrist.**Qualifications:**- High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred.- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer applications.- Organizational and multitasking abilities.- Professional communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.- CPR certification is a plus.**Physical Requirements:**- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.- Manual dexterity to operate medical equipment and perform clinical tasks.To apply, please submit your resume.
