Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our financial team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge financial software and contribute to the success of a forward-thinking organization committed to excellence.Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).</li><li>Perform account reconciliation tasks for general ledger accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank statements to ensure data integrity.</li><li>Manage payroll processing using systems such as ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro, including payroll management and related tax filings.</li><li>Utilize accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or Workday to record transactions accurately and efficiently.</li><li>Conduct journal entries and double-entry bookkeeping to maintain precise financial records.</li><li>Assist with budgeting processes, financial analysis, and account analysis to support organizational planning.</li><li>Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and other regulatory requirements related to financial reporting.</li><li>Support governmental accounting functions and non-profit accounting procedures as needed.</li><li>Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy using 10 key typing skills; handle account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation diligently.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience in corporate accounting or governmental accounting environments.</li><li>Strong knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting principles.</li><li>Proficiency with various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Wave, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, ADP, Kronos or similar platforms.</li><li>Familiarity with payroll management systems like Paychex or UltiPro is highly desirable.</li><li>Experience with tax preparation and compliance processes.</li><li>Ability to perform detailed account analysis and reconcile accounts accurately.</li><li>Excellent understanding of financial concepts including debits &amp; credits, journal entries, and general ledger management.</li><li>Strong mathematical skills coupled with attention to detail for data entry and bookkeeping tasks.</li><li>Knowledge of public accounting practices is a plus; familiarity with non-profit accounting is advantageous.
