Main Objective of the RolePlan and conduct training sessions; participate in the development of a variety of in-service orientation programs, educational programs and services to meet the goals, objectives and requirements of Fortis health care, in particular for nursing departmentKey Responsibilities&middot; Identify training needs of nursing staff and develop in service education training plans.&middot; Development of educational programs, presentations and / or patient education materials; modify and update existing educational programs and / or patient education materials or recommended modifications as appropriate.&middot; Conduct a variety of in-service orientation programs and educational programs for nursing personnel for all levels in Fortis health care.&middot; Conduct nursing induction, safety and other generalized training and ensures completion of orientation as expected.&middot; Select and organize innovative methods of teaching including films, slides, charts and nursing supplies and equipment to demonstrate improved patient care.&middot; Conduct ACLS + BLS Training round the year. Test and retest their knowledge and skills.&middot; Maintain required departmental records, reports and statistics as appropriate.&middot; Keep abreast of new developments in training techniques, methods and programs.&middot; Evaluate the effectiveness of instructional programs.&middot; Coordinate educational programs for an assigned service line; serve an internal consultant for specialized clinical instruction.&middot; Advise CON, on observed areas that need improvement and continuous supervision to ensure safe and quality care to all patients.&middot; Prepare budget for teaching and learning aids.&middot; Conducts and assists in all types of audits for better patient care and clinical outcomes.&middot; Actively participates in policies and procedural development and implementation of new protocols.&middot; Attend relevant continuing education programs, staff development programs and grand rounds.&middot; Review current nursing literature and apprise Chief of Nursing, and other stakeholders for change in practices for improving patient satisfaction and safety.&middot; Actively participate in continuous nursing quality improvement program (NQIP) and work in close collaboration with all stakeholders for providing individual support for nurses as and when indicated.&middot; Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein and as required by Chief of Nursing.Preferred Education:M.Sc.
