We are seeking a motivated and reliable Barista Shift Leader to join our dynamic caf&eacute; team. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for coffee, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Leader, you will support daily operations, guide team members, and ensure a smooth and efficient caf&eacute; environment while maintaining high standards of quality and service.This position offers an opportunity to grow within the food service industry while developing leadership and operational management skills.Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead and support baristas during shifts to ensure efficient and smooth caf&eacute; operations</li><li>Prepare and serve high-quality coffee drinks, teas, and food items according to company standards</li><li>Operate POS systems (such as Toast) for order processing and cash handling</li><li>Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, resolving concerns, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere</li><li>Monitor workflow during busy periods and delegate tasks effectively</li><li>Ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper setup of all caf&eacute; areas, including bar, kitchen, and seating</li><li>Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy in transactions and end-of-shift reporting</li><li>Train and mentor new team members on caf&eacute; procedures, beverage preparation, and customer service standards</li><li>Enforce food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times</li><li>Assist with inventory management, restocking, and tracking low supplies</li><li>Communicate effectively with management regarding operations, staffing, and any issues during shifts</li></ul>Skills &amp; Qualifications<ul><li>Previous experience as a barista or in food service required; leadership experience preferred</li><li>Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes</li><li>Experience with POS systems such as Toast is a plus</li><li>Excellent leadership and team management skills</li><li>Strong time management and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Outstanding customer service and communication skills</li><li>Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transactions</li><li>Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards</li><li>Ability to motivate and support team members while maintaining a positive work environment</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>A fast-paced, team-oriented work environment</li><li>Opportunities for growth and leadership development</li><li>Hands-on experience in caf&eacute; operations and team management</li><li>The chance to deliver exceptional coffee experiences every day</li></ul>Pay: From $18.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Paid training</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Barista: 2 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
