We are building our finance team and are looking for an exceptional accounting hire to own the day-to-day so leadership can focus on growth.You&rsquo;ll run AP, close the books accurately each month, and build out the FP&amp;A muscle the business needs as it grows. This isn&rsquo;t a tick-the-box job&mdash;we want someone who looks at the numbers and asks &ldquo;why?&rdquo;The candidate must be comfortable working in a startup environment, and prior tech/health-tech experience will be a plus.What You&rsquo;ll OwnAccounts Payable<ul><li>Manage end-to-end AP: vendor invoices, PO matching, coding, and payment runs via AP platform</li><li>Review and code employee expenses; process reimbursements accurately and on time</li><li>Own vendor setup, W-9 collection, and maintain a clean vendor master in NetSuite</li><li>Flag and resolve coding discrepancies proactively with department leads</li></ul>Month-End Close &amp; Financial Reporting<ul><li>Prepare and post journal entries in NetSuite (accruals, prepaids, deferrals, reclasses)</li><li>Own key balance sheet reconciliations: cash, credit cards, AP, accruals, and payroll</li><li>Partner with external accountants to deliver clean support schedules and minimize review cycles</li><li>Support preparation of monthly financial statements along with our external accounting firm (P&amp;L, balance sheet, cash flow)</li><li>Assist with sales/use tax filings and multi-state compliance tracking and manage our tax firm</li></ul>FP&amp;A Support<ul><li>Run monthly budget-vs.-actual reporting by department; surface and explain variances</li><li>Maintain and improve expense coding consistency to ensure reporting integrity</li><li>Support ad hoc financial analysis for leadership (vendor cost reviews, headcount modeling)</li><li>Help build a lightweight forecasting cadence as the company scales</li></ul>Process &amp; Systems<ul><li>Maintain and improve SOPs for AP, expenses, payroll, and close&mdash;document what exists, fix what&rsquo;s broken</li><li>Identify and implement automations in financial tech stack (e.g. NetSuite, Ramp, Brex, and Tipalti) to reduce manual work</li><li>Bring solutions, not just problems&mdash;proactively flag gaps and recommend improvements</li></ul>What We&rsquo;re Looking ForRequired<ul><li>4&ndash;6 years of progressive accounting experience in a startup or fast-paced environment</li><li>Hands-on NetSuite experience: posting JEs, running reports, reconciling accounts</li><li>Comfortable owning AP and month-end close with minimal supervision</li><li>Strong Excel skills: formulas, pivot tables, scenario analyses reconciliation builds</li><li>Detail-oriented with a low tolerance for messy books&mdash;you notice things others miss</li><li>Clear communicator who can translate accounting issues into plain language for non-finance stakeholders</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>Experience with Netsuite, Ramp, Brex and/or Tipalti (or similar AP systems)</li><li>Exposure to FP&amp;A: budget prep, variance analysis, or basic financial modeling</li><li>Experience supporting or preparing financial statements, not just executing close tasks</li><li>CPA candidate or CPA (a plus, not required)</li><li>Health tech, SaaS, or hardware/recurring revenue company background</li></ul>Who Thrives HereThis role is a strong fit if you&hellip;<ul><li>Want to be the go-to finance person at a growing company, not one of many in a large department</li><li>Get energized by cleaning up a messy process or building something from scratch</li><li>Are curious about the business&mdash;why costs move, what drives revenue, how operations connect to the P&amp;L</li><li>Can shift between tactical (AP run today) and analytical (why did OpEx spike?)</li><li>Are comfortable with ambiguity and can prioritize without waiting to be told exactly what to do</li></ul>Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Employee stock purchase plan</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Unlimited paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li><li>Work from home</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Hands-on NetSuite experience (2 years)</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>of progressive accounting : 5 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: Remote
