The Senior Buyer will play a key role and take significant responsibility for the purchasing and inventory level strategy of the organization. This includes, but not limited to, tasks such as inventory planning, demand and supply forecasting, and purchasing scheduling.. This position evaluates past sales performance data to forecast needs and integrate with vendor production schedules. Develops strategic plans to improve stocking availability, reduce excess and obsolete inventory, improve demand forecast accuracy, and improve efficiency of purchasing operations.. Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>&middot; Primary areas of responsibilities for this position include:</li></ul><ul><li>o Demand and Supply Forecasting</li></ul><ul><li>o Purchasing</li></ul><ul><li>o Optimal inventory level management</li></ul><ul><li>o Supplier Management &ndash; Production schedules and capacity planning</li></ul><ul><li>o Warehouse Inventory Levels Space Management</li></ul><ul><li>&middot; Drive the Forecasting process to achieve inventory objectives for finished goods and replacement parts, as well as supporting sales and customer requirements.</li></ul><ul><li>&middot; Actively review sales forecast information in order to develop detailed operation and purchasing plans by product.</li></ul><ul><li>&middot; Provide all information and reports necessary to maintain appropriate finished goods stocking levels at all distribution points.</li></ul><ul><li>&middot; Collaborate with Product Development and Sales to support launch of new products to satisfy market demands.</li></ul><ul><li>&middot; Consider factory manufacturing schedules and shipment performance in recommending purchase order quantities and requirements.</li></ul><ul><li>&middot; Manage discontinued inventory process by different product status.</li></ul><ul><li>&middot; Monitor and distribute Discontinued products to Sales and other related departments</li></ul>Preferred Skills &amp; Abilities: <ul><li>&middot; Strong negotiation skills</li></ul><ul><li>&middot; Analytical skills</li></ul><ul><li>&middot; Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)</li></ul><ul><li>&middot; Ability to create strong relationships</li></ul><ul><li>&middot; Strong financial skills</li></ul><ul><li>&middot; High level of attention to detail</li></ul><ul><li>&middot; Contract Management skills</li><li>Strong leadership and team management skills</li></ul>Preferred Education &amp; Experience: &middot; BS/BA degree in Supply Chain or Engineering or related fields desired. <ul><li>&middot; APCIS certified</li></ul>&middot; 3-5+ years&rsquo; experience in Supply Chain/Procurement Management <ul><li>&middot; Ability to speak Mandarin Chinese &amp; understanding of Chinese culture will be a plus.</li><li>&middot; Self-starter, works independently, multi-tasks, thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
