Overview Dental Hygienist Gargiulo Periodontics We are a dental family with a work life balance and a healthy team-oriented environment. We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Periodontal Hygienist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene, and supporting the dental team in delivering an exceptional patient experience. Your clinical expertise and patient-first mindset will play a vital role in promoting long-term oral health for our community. Schedule: Full Time, Monday 7:30-5:30PM, Tuesday 6:30AM-2:30PM, Wednesday & Thursdays 6:30AM-3:30PM Responsibilities <ul><li> Perform thorough periodontal maintenance cleanings </li><li> Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) </li><li> Conduct oral health assessments and chart conditions of teeth and gums </li><li> Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care </li><li> Apply sealants and fluoride treatments when appropriate </li><li> Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols </li><li> Assist the dentist during exams and procedures as needed </li><li> Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the dental record </li><li> Monitor and maintain hygiene supplies and equipment </li><li> Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards </li><li> Please note that additional responsibilities may be assigned </li></ul> Qualifications Requirements <ul><li> Valid Dental Hygiene license in the state of practice </li><li> Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program </li></ul> Preferred Skills <ul><li> Experience with Dentrix software </li><li> Strong communication and interpersonal skills </li><li> Gentle and compassionate chairside manner </li><li> Proficiency with dental software and digital charting </li><li> Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team </li><li> Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality care </li><li> Familiarity with common dental procedures and patient education techniques </li></ul> We Offer <ul><li> Competitive Compensation </li><li> Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Flexible Spending Accounts, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays and much more! </li></ul> Specialized Dental Partners, its affiliates, related companies and independently owned supported clinical practices are proud to be Equal Opportunity Employers.
