Job Summary We are a family owned business seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial standards, and supporting the organization&rsquo;s financial health. Your expertise will help maintain accurate financial records, facilitate audits, and contribute to strategic decision-making. This position offers an exciting opportunity working with Quick books financial software and collaborate across departments to drive operational excellence.Duties<ul><li>Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).</li><li>Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.</li><li>Conduct detailed account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.</li><li>Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks, and other systems for data entry and financial reporting.</li><li>Support payroll management activities by processing payroll data through systems like Venture &amp; Work Force Management while ensuring compliance with tax regulations and labor laws.</li><li>Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis to support organizational planning efforts.</li><li>Ensure adherence to internal controls to maintain compliance during all accounting processes.</li><li>Prepare tax-related documentation and assist with audits by providing necessary financial records and explanations.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Bachelors Degree in Accounting</li><li>Atleast 5 years experience</li><li>Proven experience in corporate accounting or governmental accounting environments with a strong understanding of GAAP standards.</li><li>Proficiency in Quick books accounting software.</li><li>Familiarity with payroll management systems.</li><li>Knowledge of SOX compliance procedures and technical accounting principles.</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis and reconcile complex accounts accurately.</li><li>Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy in 10-key typing and double-entry bookkeeping practices.</li><li>Ability to interpret financial concepts related to accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger management.</li><li>Experience working in public accounting or non-profit accounting is a plus.</li><li>Effective communication skills combined with a keen attention to detail and organizational abilities.
