Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our procurement team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where your proactive approach and strategic thinking will make a significant impact on our overall efficiency and success.Duties<ul><li>Manage end-to-end procurement processes using ERP systems such as AS400 and SAP S/4 HANA to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services</li><li>Source suppliers through comprehensive market research and strategic sourcing initiatives to secure competitive pricing and quality standards</li><li>Negotiate contracts, pricing, delivery terms, and service agreements with vendors to maximize value and minimize costs</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement design changes and launch new model products</li><li>Monitor supplier performance metrics, conduct supplier evaluations and implement continuous improvement initiatives in procurement practices</li><li>Support supply chain management efforts by analyzing procurement data related to pricing trends, lead times, and vendor reliability</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles within manufacturing or supply chain environments</li><li>Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or AS400 for procurement activities</li><li>Solid understanding of materials management and supply chain management principles</li><li>Proven negotiation skills with the ability to establish mutually beneficial vendor relationships</li><li>Ability to analyze procurement data related to pricing strategies and production planning needs</li><li>Familiarity with contracts management, and sourcing strategies for supplier engagement</li><li>Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across departments such as logistics, engineering, design, quality, program management and production.</li></ul>Join us as a Purchasing Agent to become a key player in streamlining our supply chain operations!
