Job Overview

Duties

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes using ERP systems such as AS400 and SAP S/4 HANA to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services
• Source suppliers through comprehensive market research and strategic sourcing initiatives to secure competitive pricing and quality standards
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, delivery terms, and service agreements with vendors to maximize value and minimize costs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement design changes and launch new model products
• Monitor supplier performance metrics, conduct supplier evaluations and implement continuous improvement initiatives in procurement practices
• Support supply chain management efforts by analyzing procurement data related to pricing trends, lead times, and vendor reliability

Requirements

• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles within manufacturing or supply chain environments
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or AS400 for procurement activities
• Solid understanding of materials management and supply chain management principles
• Proven negotiation skills with the ability to establish mutually beneficial vendor relationships
• Ability to analyze procurement data related to pricing strategies and production planning needs
• Familiarity with contracts management, and sourcing strategies for supplier engagement
• Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across departments such as logistics, engineering, design, quality, program management and production.
