Permit Clerk20yr old Sanford, Florida Generator company is seeking a Permit Clerk / Office Administrator to support the installation of home standby generators. This is a full-time, office-based role, and no generator experience or knowledge is required. Typical work hours are 8:00-4:30, Monday through Friday, at our Sanford location.The Permit Clerk is responsible for applying for permits with the local municipalities, Notice of Commencement documentation and filing, as well as closing permits upon completion. This is office-based role, with no travel requirement. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:<ul><li>Coordinate with various county, city, and other local government offices for the issuing of electrical work permits</li><li>Work with public utility companies to schedule and coordinate jobs, including power disconnect and reconnect</li><li>Request and manage final inspections, and maintain activity records in customer files and internal databases</li><li>Maintain customer files within cloud-based CRM platform, including customer and job information, and physical/digital document management</li><li>Perform other administrative tasks as required</li><li>Provide feedback and actively participate in continuous improvement programs</li></ul>Desired skills and experience include the following, with training available for well qualified candidates:<ul><li>PERMIT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED</li><li>Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively by phone, email, and in person</li><li>Superior time management and organizational ability</li><li>Team mindset, and ability to work well with others in a small team environment; willing to support others as needed to accomplish the mission</li><li>Attention to detail, and superior organizational abilities</li><li>Ability to self-direct and manage workload while unsupervised</li><li>Excellent problem solving skills, and the ability to multi-task and redirect effort</li><li>Must possess a valid US driver&rsquo;s license</li></ul>Training on permitting, scheduling, and other specialized software and tools will be provided. You must have a working knowledge of Microsoft productivity tools, including Word, Outlook (email), Chrome/Edge, and basic Excel.In exchange for these talents Genstar Service, LLC, offers a friendly working environment, competitive pay ($17-20/hr., depending on qualifications), performance pay bonuses, comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life, etc.), paid time off, and seven (7) paid holidays.
