As we continue to expand, we are seeking an HR Administrator who can bring both structure and empathy to our people operations while ensuring compliance across the organization.Role SummaryThis is an in-office HR Administrator role responsible for payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, and compliance. Success in this position requires balancing attention to detail with driver and employee empathy, ensuring that both our office and field teams feel supported and that our company remains audit-ready at all times.We are looking for someone who has supported HR at a similar scale in the past and thrives in fast-paced environments where accuracy, accountability, and strong communication are essential.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Administer payroll through Gusto/QuickBooks and manage employee benefits including insurance and 401(k) programs.</li><li>Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, including I-9 verification, document scanning, and maintaining driver and employee records.</li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific regulations, maintaining audit-ready files at all times.</li><li>Manage insurance documentation, coordinate with providers, and support risk management requirements.</li><li>Serve as the first point of contact for employees and drivers, balancing compliance with empathy and problem-solving.</li><li>Identify and improve gaps in HR processes to maintain smooth operations.</li></ul>What It Takes to Succeed Here<ul><li>Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.</li><li>Experience supporting HR operations in a medium-sized organization with both field and office employees.</li><li>Ability to stay compliant without losing empathy for employees and drivers.</li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment.</li><li>Clear communication skills with the ability to build trust across the company.</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Experience<ul><li>1+ years of HR administration, payroll, or benefits experience.</li><li>Experience with Gusto, QuickBooks, or similar HRIS/payroll systems.</li><li>Knowledge of labor laws, I-9 compliance, and HR risk management requirements.</li><li>Background working with both office staff and field-based employees such as drivers.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain industries.</li><li>Familiarity with FMCSA requirements and driver HR processes.</li><li>HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.) is a plus.</li></ul>The Offer<ul><li>Full-time, in-office HR Administrator role in San Antonio.</li><li>Competitive salary based on experience.</li><li>Opportunity to shape and improve HR structure in a dynamic, growth-focused company.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $43,778.98 - $52,723.07 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Tell me about a time you prepared HR records for an audit or compliance review.
