Job Description: Wood Factory SupervisorPosition Overview:The Wood Factory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of a wood factory. This role involves leading a team of production workers, ensuring efficient wood processing, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe working environment. The Wood Factory Supervisor is also responsible for coordinating with other departments, managing inventory, and implementing production schedules to meet customer demands.Key Responsibilities:1. Supervise Production Operations: - Monitor and coordinate production activities to ensure timely completion of orders. - Assign tasks to workers and ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards. - Organize and maintain workflow within the wood factory, optimizing efficiency.2. Quality Control and Assurance: - Inspect wood products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. - Implement quality control measures to identify and resolve any issues related to product quality. - Conduct regular assessments to monitor and improve product quality.3. Team Leadership and Development: - Provide guidance, training, and support to production workers to enhance their skills and performance. - Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and motivate employees to achieve production targets. - Address any performance or disciplinary issues in a timely and appropriate manner.4. Safety and Compliance: - Enforce and promote safe working practices, following all relevant health and safety regulations. - Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure workers are trained in proper equipment usage and safety protocols. - Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, implementing preventive measures to avoid reoccurrence.5. Inventory Management: - Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products. - Coordinate with procurement and logistics departments to ensure timely availability of required materials. - Implement efficient inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize resources.6. Communication and Collaboration: - Collaborate with other departments such as procurement, quality control, and maintenance to streamline operations. - Communicate effectively with management, providing updates on production progress, challenges, and recommendations. - Identify areas for process improvement and recommend strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.Qualifications and Skills:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in industrial engineering, wood technology, or a related field.- Proven experience as a supervisor or manager in a wood manufacturing or similar industry.- In-depth knowledge of wood processing techniques, machinery, and quality standards. - Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop employees.- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices pertaining to wood manufacturing. - Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders.- Proficiency in relevant software applications and inventory management systems.Able to make cutting list for wood work project and guide staff to speed up production process without delaysJob Type: Full-timePay: KD400.000 - KD600.000 per month
