GLE Alloys has an immediate opening for a full-time mechanic. Applicants should be mechanically inclined and have a knowledge of engine repairs, heavy equipment, and Hydraulics. Responsibilities:5+ years of experience in Mechanics.&middot; Performs maintenance services, installation or repairs in one or more skill areas such as plumbing, mechanical, electrical repairs, pneumatic, hydraulic, installation, carpentry, painting or vehicle servicing&middot; Inspects, maintains, repairs, and installs mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic equipment at plant&middot; Repairs and maintains all types of pumps and others kinds of mechanical equipment or machinery&middot; Performs routine and preventative maintenance, lubrication and minor adjustments on machines and related equipment&middot; Promptly reports any operational problems with machines or equipment&middot; Learns to inspect and becomes proficient at mechanical troubleshooting to determine repairs needed&middot; Dismantles equipment to gain access to and repair defective parts using hand/power tools and precision measuring and testing devices&middot; Re-assembles and tests equipment ensuring safe and efficient operating condition is restored.&middot; Performs facility maintenance and repair, may replace or install lightbulbs, fluorescent tubes, damaged glass, windows, doors, ceiling/floor tiles, door locks, carpet and/or paint&middot; May perform manual labor including cleaning equipment, facilities and grounds as required&middot; Operates vehicles for plant operational purposes&middot; Repairs sewage, sludge and water pumps&middot; Welds metal pieces to repair metal objects with welding equipment&middot; Grease mechanical equipment and plant machinery (PMaintenance)&middot; Operates equipment &ndash; crane, backhoe, front end loaders, forklift&middot; Must follow operational, mechanical, safety and emergency response procedures&middot; May suggest process improvements&middot; Keeps supervisor informed of problems&middot; Spends 100% of time in operations environment&middot; Typically can spend 25-35% of time exposed to outdoor/inclement weather&middot; Possible work hazards: May be exposed to fumes, dust, chemicals, noise, machinery, high pressure, hot/cold temperatures, slippery surfaces, waterREQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>5+ years of experience in Mechanics</li><li>5+ years of experience as a heavy equipment operator</li><li>Strong mechanical skills</li><li>Flexible schedule with ability to work nights and weekends</li><li>Ability to lift up to 75lbs</li><li>Stand, bend, stoop, crawl, for periods of time</li><li>Works in the hot summer elements outside</li><li>Must pass full background check / drug test / physical</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Strong work ethic</li><li>Willingness to travel to other company sites</li><li>Highly dependable</li><li>Self-motivated</li></ul>A first-generation family owned business that excels due to the hard work and dedication of our staff!
