The Glenview Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Youth Services Collection Assistant Manager to join our team.
In This Role you will:<ul><li>Lead merchandising and display strategy for the Youth Services collection.</li><li>Assist in the supervision and support of a team responsible for developing, maintaining, and promoting the Youth Services collection.</li><li>Apply bookstore-style marketing techniques to promote materials.</li><li>Analyze collection data and circulation statistics to inform purchasing decisions and boost material usage.</li></ul>

Education/Experience/Qualifications<ul><li>Master of Library and Information Science degree from an ALA accredited school.</li><li>Minimum two years professional library experience.</li><li>One to two years supervisory experience preferred.</li></ul>

Youth Services Collection Assistant Manager (Full-Time)

Are you energetic with an excellent customer service focus and enjoy working with others to solve their technology and creative challenges?
We are seeking two individuals to be a part of a team that fosters &ldquo;making&rdquo; and creativity among Library patrons and the community to serve as our Innovation Services Technician.
These positions are Part-Time (18 hours per week for each position).
The work schedules for each position are as follows:
Technician 1:<ul><li>Mondays 1:00pm-8:30pm</li><li>Thursdays 9:00am-1:00pm</li><li>Saturdays 9:30am-5:00pm</li></ul>
Technician 2:<ul><li>Tuesdays 9:30am-5:00pm</li><li>Wednesdays 1:00pm-8:30pm</li><li>Sundays 1:00pm-5:00pm</li></ul>
The Innovation Services Technician creates a patron friendly environment while providing Library users with access to, training and instruction on Innovation Services equipment, such as laser cutting, 3D printing, sewing, design, electronics, programming, audio, video and photo production and editing and is an important contributor to the Innovation Services team.
The pay rate for these positions is $20.83/hour.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of this position include:<ul><li>Instructs and aids Library users in use of makerspace equipment and associated software; provides both one-on-one assistance and group instruction.</li><li>Creates a patron-friendly library environment by demonstrating a high level of customer service.</li><li>Greets and interacts with library patrons in a courteous, professional, friendly, and timely manner.</li><li>Plans, designs, promotes, presents, and evaluates makerspace programs for patrons of all ages.</li><li>Troubleshoots all equipment in the makerspace, performing simple repairs, as applicable.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Education/Experience/Qualifications<ul><li>High School diploma or GED required; some technical training preferred.</li><li>Minimum of one year work experience with maker equipment.</li><li>Possession of a valid Illinois Driver&rsquo;s License, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of current automobile insurance required.</li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.</li></ul>
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities<ul><li>Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, proficiency with Mac and Windows computers and peripherals (printers, scanners, external hard drives).</li><li>Working knowledge of two or more of the following technologies: Laser cutting and engraving, 3D printing, digital design software, fiber arts, CNC fabrication, and other Makerspace technologies.</li><li>Ability to learn and instruct patrons on new and emerging technologies.</li><li>Hands-on knowledge of a variety of technologies such as CAD software, office productivity tools, internet resources, fiber arts, robotics, eBooks, personal devices, and emerging technologies.</li><li>Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and to successfully handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.</li><li>Ability to work successfully within a multicultural/multigenerational staff and patron population.</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, and stoop on an occasional basis.</li><li>Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and ability to reach overhead.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on an occasional basis.</li></ul>

Innovation Services Technician (2 Part-Time, 18 hours per week each position)

If so, consider coming to work with us as an Administrative Office Clerk and join our Administrative/Business office team. This is a part-time position (25 hours/week, with standard hours of 12:00pm-5:00pm Monday through Friday).
The Administrative Office Clerk is responsible for providing variety of clerical duties in the Library&rsquo;s Administrative Office and serves under the supervision of the Business and Finance Director. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and competency with standard office technology. The Business and Finance Director will assign specific responsibilities and tasks.
The pay range for this position is $18 to $20/hour.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of this position include:<ul><li>Schedules meeting room reservations for library sponsored programs, community groups, and organizations.</li><li>Troubleshoots meeting room schedule conflicts and communicates meeting room rules and regulations to applicants/users.</li><li>Sorts and distributes incoming mail, stamps invoices, and routes to appropriate department.</li><li>Maintains postage machine, copier and orders supplies for both.</li><li>Mails warrant checks to vendors monthly; maintains vendor files.</li><li>Scans invoices and vouchers into accounts payable management software.</li><li>Reviews invoice batches for completeness and accuracy.</li><li>Orders office supplies for Administration and first aid supplies for the library.</li><li> Prepares and distributes completed Speak Up comment forms.</li><li> Maintains daily calendar for meeting rooms and distributes room notifications</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Education/Experience/Qualifications<ul><li>GED/High School Diploma required.</li><li>Two (2) years&rsquo; experience in a business office environment, performing accounting support tasks.</li><li>Possession of a valid Illinois driver&rsquo;s license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of current automobile insurance is required.</li></ul>
