Job OverviewAbout the RoleA small to mid-size manufacturer is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Materials Manager &amp; Inventory Control Specialist to oversee the planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of materials and supplies across our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials management, inventory optimization, and supply chain efficiency, with the ability to balance cost control and quality standards.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop and implement materials management strategies to ensure the timely and efficient supply of goods and materials.</li><li>Maintain accurate inventory levels through forecasting, cycle counting, and demand planning.</li><li>Monitor and analyze inventory data to identify trends, shortages, and excesses; recommend corrective actions as needed.</li><li>Manage purchasing processes, vendor relationships, and supplier performance.</li><li>Coordinate with production, procurement, logistics, and finance to align materials planning with operational goals.</li><li>Oversee warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and distribution of materials.</li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce waste, lower costs, and improve overall supply chain performance.</li><li>Train and mentor warehouse and inventory personnel in best practices for materials handling and control.</li><li>Working with our outside processing vendors.</li></ul>QualificationsRequired:<ul><li>5+ years of experience in materials management, inventory control, or supply chain operations.</li><li>Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent organizational and communication abilities.</li><li>Detailed oriented</li><li>Team Player</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeBase Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
