Golden Harbor Healthcare, a skilled nursing facility, is looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Assistant.AM shift . Full-time. Monday through Friday. Eight hour shift.Purpose: To assist in keeping our staff, residents, patients, and visitors safe by maintaining the facility&rsquo;s integrity.Requirements and Qualifications:<ul><li>One year of experience in maintaining senior housing, healthcare, or a related field is preferred.</li><li>Must have previous maintenance and housekeeping experience in a long-term care or assisted living community or related facility</li><li>Experience working with seniors, being a self-starter, able to take on responsibility, and working with little supervision</li></ul>Duties and Responsibilities in assisting:<ul><li>Maintain OSHA, state, fire code compliance and life safety regulations</li><li>Responsible for all maintenance functions within our skilled nursing community.</li><li>Maintain and cleaned facilities, equipment, and the environment</li><li>Be knowledgeable about stripping, waxing and polishing floors and carpet cleaning.</li><li>Complying with health and safety regulations and removing waste from facilities</li><li>May maintain routine upkeep of outdoor areas, building exteriors, and parking lots</li><li>Other relevant duties as assigned.</li></ul>Physical Capacities: (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices)<ul><li>Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.</li><li>Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility which may include an annual TB screening and physical examination.</li><li>Must be able to stand for and walk for extended periods of time.</li><li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.</li><li>Must be able to lift over 25 pounds with assistance.</li><li>Frequent pushing and pulling of carts, picking up boxes, etc</li><li>Must be able to work with all machines required to maintain the facility.</li><li>Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.</li></ul>Environmental Conditions: Inside work, normal inside temperatures, some noise, work-related fumes/odors, working with a variety of cleaning tools/machines, possible exposure to bodily fluids, possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens.Golden Harbor healthcare is an equal opportunity employer, in accordance with anti-discrimination laws.Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Custodial: 1 year (Preferred)</li><li>Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
