We are expanding our team and looking for a seasoned, skilled Lash Technician to serve clients in the Stafford, Virginia area.POSITION SUMMARYThis is an experienced-level, commission-based independent contractor (1099) role. We are seeking a dedicated Lash Technician with 3 to 4 years of professional lash extension experience who is located in or within a 45-minute drive of Stafford, VA, and has reliable personal transportation to travel to the studio as scheduled.This is not an entry-level position. We need a technician who has mastered their craft, builds lasting client relationships, and upholds an exceptional standard of quality every single appointment.LOCATION &amp; TRAVEL REQUIREMENT<ul><li>Service area: Stafford, Virginia, and surrounding areas within a 45-minute driving radius</li><li>Reliable personal transportation is required &mdash; this is a firm condition of the role</li><li>Applicants must be able to commute consistently to the studio location as scheduled</li></ul>WHAT YOU'LL DOServices &amp; Client Experience:<ul><li>Perform Classic, Hybrid, and Volume lash extension sets to Gracefull quality standards</li><li>Conduct thorough consultations assessing client needs, eye shape, lifestyle, lash health, and goals</li><li>Deliver a seamless, luxury client experience from arrival through post-service aftercare briefing</li><li>Maintain accurate client records, including service notes, product preferences, and contraindications</li><li>Photograph completed sets (with client consent) for quality documentation and brand use</li></ul>Sanitation &amp; Compliance:<ul><li>Maintain a fully sanitized, organized workstation in compliance with Virginia Board of Cosmetology regulations</li><li>Properly clean, disinfect, and store all tools and equipment between every client &mdash; no exceptions</li><li>Conduct patch tests and document all client sensitivities and contraindications prior to service</li><li>Adhere to all OSHA, studio, and applicable health and safety standards at all times</li></ul>Professionalism &amp; Team Standards:<ul><li>Represent Gracefull Lashes and Beauty with a polished, professional appearance every shift</li><li>Participate in team meetings and continuing education initiatives as required</li><li>Communicate scheduling needs, conflicts, or client concerns proactively with management</li><li>Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and high-standard studio culture</li></ul>WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORRequired:<ul><li>Active Virginia Cosmetology or Esthetician License &mdash; must be current and in good standing</li><li>Lash Extension Certification from an accredited program or recognized industry trainer</li><li>3 to 4 years of professional lash extension experience in a studio or salon setting</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Classic, Hybrid, and Volume lash application &mdash; portfolio required at interview</li><li>Located in Stafford, VA or within a 45-minute driving radius</li><li>Reliable personal transportation &mdash; required, no exceptions</li></ul>Skills &amp; Competencies:<ul><li>Expert knowledge of lash mapping, adhesive chemistry, isolation techniques, and retention best practices</li><li>Proficiency in lash removal and lash health assessment</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to quality</li><li>Strong client communication, consultation, and customer service skills</li><li>Proven track record of client satisfaction and rebooking rates</li><li>Highly reliable, punctual, and self-directed &mdash; you own your schedule and your results</li></ul>COMPENSATIONThis is a commission-based independent contractor position. Your specific rate, payment schedule, and performance incentives will be outlined in your individual Independent Contractor Service Agreement.
