Gracefull Lashes and Beauty by Amara is a luxury lash studio committed to delivering a premium, personalized client experience through precision, professionalism, and genuine care. We are expanding our team and looking for a seasoned, skilled Lash Technician to serve clients in the Stafford, Virginia area.

POSITION SUMMARY

This is an experienced-level, commission-based independent contractor (1099) role. We are seeking a dedicated Lash Technician with 3 to 4 years of professional lash extension experience who is located in or within a 45-minute drive of Stafford, VA, and has reliable personal transportation to travel to the studio as scheduled.

This is not an entry-level position. We need a technician who has mastered their craft, builds lasting client relationships, and upholds an exceptional standard of quality every single appointment.

LOCATION & TRAVEL REQUIREMENT

• Service area: Stafford, Virginia, and surrounding areas within a 45-minute driving radius
• Reliable personal transportation is required — this is a firm condition of the role
• Applicants must be able to commute consistently to the studio location as scheduled

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Services & Client Experience:

• Perform Classic, Hybrid, and Volume lash extension sets to Gracefull quality standards
• Conduct thorough consultations assessing client needs, eye shape, lifestyle, lash health, and goals
• Deliver a seamless, luxury client experience from arrival through post-service aftercare briefing
• Maintain accurate client records, including service notes, product preferences, and contraindications
• Photograph completed sets (with client consent) for quality documentation and brand use

Sanitation & Compliance:

• Maintain a fully sanitized, organized workstation in compliance with Virginia Board of Cosmetology regulations
• Properly clean, disinfect, and store all tools and equipment between every client — no exceptions
• Conduct patch tests and document all client sensitivities and contraindications prior to service
• Adhere to all OSHA, studio, and applicable health and safety standards at all times

Professionalism & Team Standards:

• Represent Gracefull Lashes and Beauty with a polished, professional appearance every shift
• Participate in team meetings and continuing education initiatives as required
• Communicate scheduling needs, conflicts, or client concerns proactively with management
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and high-standard studio culture

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

• Active Virginia Cosmetology or Esthetician License — must be current and in good standing
• Lash Extension Certification from an accredited program or recognized industry trainer
• 3 to 4 years of professional lash extension experience in a studio or salon setting
• Advanced proficiency in Classic, Hybrid, and Volume lash application — portfolio required at interview
• Located in Stafford, VA or within a 45-minute driving radius
• Reliable personal transportation — required, no exceptions

Skills & Competencies:

• Expert knowledge of lash mapping, adhesive chemistry, isolation techniques, and retention best practices
• Proficiency in lash removal and lash health assessment
• Exceptional attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to quality
• Strong client communication, consultation, and customer service skills
• Proven track record of client satisfaction and rebooking rates
• Highly reliable, punctual, and self-directed — you own your schedule and your results

COMPENSATION

This is a commission-based independent contractor position. Your specific rate, payment schedule, and performance incentives will be outlined in your individual Independent Contractor Service Agreement. As a 1099 contractor
