We are seeking a highly skilled and imaginative <b>Concept &amp; Matte Paint Artist</b> to join our VFX team for live-action feature films and series. This hybrid role demands a strong artistic vision, technical proficiency, and the ability to translate narrative and production requirements into compelling visual environments. You will collaborate closely with directors, production designers, and VFX supervisors to shape the visual tone and extend the cinematic world through concept art and digital matte paintings.</div><div></div><p><b><br>
Key Responsibilities</b></p><p>
Concept Art</p><ul><li>
Develop high-quality concept designs for environments, props, and mood boards</li>
<li>Translate scripts and storyboards into visual narratives</li>
<li>Collaborate with production designers and directors to establish visual style</li>
<li>Create style frames and key art to guide VFX and art departments</li>
</ul><p>
Matte Painting</p><ul><li>
Produce photorealistic digital matte paintings for set extensions and background replacements</li><li>
Integrate 2D and 3D elements seamlessly into live-action plates</li><li>
Work with compositors and lighting artists to ensure visual consistency</li><li>
Maintain continuity across shots and sequences</li></ul><p>
 Required Skills &amp; Experience</p><p>
</p><ul><li>
3+ years of experience in concept art and/or matte painting for live-action VFX</li>
<li>Proficiency in Photoshop, Maya, Nuke, Blender, and other industry-standard tools</li>
<li>Strong understanding of composition, lighting, perspective, and color theory</li>
<li>Ability to work from rough sketches, reference material, and verbal direction</li>
<li>Experience with camera projections and multi-pass compositing workflows</li>
<li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills</li><li>
Background in fine arts, architecture, or visual storytelling</li><li>
Familiarity with Unreal Engine or other real-time rendering tools</li><li>
Experience working in a fast-paced production environment</li></ul></div></div>
