Overview We are thrilled to partner with Legacy Property on The Works, Corrimal, an iconic master planned urban renewal project transforming the former Corrimal Coke Works site into a vibrant new community of over 800 dwellings. This landmark development in the Illawarra region celebrates the site's rich history, marrying heritage architecture with contemporary living in a way that truly stands out.Stage 1 of The Works will deliver 179 modern apartments across five buildings, blending cutting-edge design with the site's industrial heritage. Currently in the early works and procurement phase, key trade packages are being finalised and work has commenced onsite. About the role As a Contracts Administrator, you'll work closely with our Senior Contracts Administrator and Project Manager to deliver the commercial and financial outcomes for The Works, Corrimal project. You'll collaborate with the site delivery team, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to support cost efficiency, contract compliance, and subcontractor performance on this landmark project.You'll be responsible for end-to-end subcontract administration, while supporting project leadership with head contract management and financial reporting, all with the guidance and mentorship of senior team members.Your day-to-day will include:<ul><li>Procurement: Maintain a project procurement schedule, prepare tender packages, scopes of work and comparisons, and procure subcontractor and supplier packages in line with the schedule.</li><li>Subcontract Administration: Manage subcontract agreements, including performance tracking, claims, variations, RFIs and notices, protecting Growthbuilt's commercial position while fostering positive relationships.</li><li>Claims Assessment & Payments: Assess and process subcontractor payment claims in line with site progress, agreed scopes, and commercial compliance, ensuring any payment schedules are issued in strict accordance with the Security of Payments Act where applicable.</li><li>Project Reporting: Prepare monthly project review submissions, including EOT registers, forecast cost schedules, variation schedules, cash flow forecasts and risk registers, with oversight from the Senior CA, and contribute to presentations to senior leadership.</li><li>Cost Control & Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for savings or value-add through careful scope management, without compromising quality, safety or client outcomes.</li><li>Project Delivery: Work closely with the Senior CA, Project Manager and site team to resolve any contractual issues quickly, keep the program on track, and maintain clear communication with the client team.</li><li>Head Contract Support: Review entitlements and obligations under the Head Contract, and assist the Senior CA with preparing any variation submissions, EOTs and delay notices.</li><li>Document Control: Ensure project records and documentation are maintained, including subcontractor quality and safety documentation in line with contract requirements.</li><li>Mentoring: Provide guidance to graduates and cadets, supporting their professional growth and development.</li></ul>This role is ideal for a rising star CA who is confident running their own procurement and reporting processes, but values collaboration and support as part of a broader commercial team. It's an excellent opportunity to deepen your commercial expertise on a large, multi-stage pipeline of work and progress towards senior commercial leadership or project management roles in the future. About you You are a capable and highly driven Contract Administrator with the confidence to take on end-to-end processes while learning from senior colleagues. You're detail-oriented, resilient, commercially savvy, and ready to step into a complex project environment.<ul><li>5+ years' post-graduate experience in contract administration within the construction sector, or have completed at least two Tier 2 projects from head contract award to practical completion with a D&C builder</li><li>Experience procuring trades, negotiating subcontracts, and managing subcontractor performance</li><li>Strong knowledge of subcontract claims, variations, progress payments, and reporting</li><li>Ability to prepare financial reports, forecasts and support overall project cost management</li><li>High-level stakeholder communication skills and the ability to foster strong subcontractor relationships</li><li>A proactive problem-solver who works well in a team and is eager to mentor junior team members</li></ul>Not sure if you tick every single box?
