 Compensation:
 
 $220k &ndash; $260k Base + Project-Based Bonuses (Up to 70% of Base comp)
 
 
 
 
 
 We have partnered with a Premier Southwest Real Estate Developer currently scaling to meet a massive surge in their data center portfolio. Backed by a multi-billion dollar institutional parent company, this firm operates with a lean, efficient team of 50+ people.
 
 
 
 
 
 They are at a significant growth point, currently delivering a flagship hyperscale site. They are seeking a vision-driven VP of Engineering to serve as the ultimate technical authority across all engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, structural, and controls) and scale their infrastructure roadmap.

 Roles &amp; Responsibilities
 
 
 
 As the VP of Engineering you are the chief architect of the engineering strategy, ensuring scalability, innovation, and execution excellence across the entire $7B portfolio:
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 
 Multidisciplinary Strategic Leadership:
 
 Serve as the executive authority over all engineering disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, and BMS/Controls), ensuring a unified, cohesive design strategy for all hyperscale and colocation projects.
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Global Design &amp; Standard Optimization:
 
 Own, refine, and scale the company&rsquo;s prototype designs and Basis of Design (BOD). Drive innovation in high-density cooling (liquid cooling/AI-ready architecture) and next-generation power topologies.
 </li>
 <li>
 
 External Ecosystem Governance:
 
 Select, contract, and hold accountable external Tier-1 MEP consultants, commissioning agents, and equipment vendors. Elevate the standards of delivery and ensure strict alignment with cost, schedule, and reliability targets.
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Executive Technical Authority:
 
 Serve as the face of engineering in high-stakes negotiations with Fortune 100 hyperscale clients, joint-venture partners, and utility executives, translating complex engineering risks into clear business and financial decisions.
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Departmental Scaling &amp; Mentorship:
 
 Build, mentor, and lead an internal, lean team of specialized engineers as the portfolio expands, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaborative problem-solving.
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Lifecycle Risk &amp; Grid Strategy:
 
 Partner with the land acquisition and development teams during early-stage due diligence to evaluate grid capacity, water availability, and environmental risks before site entitlement.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 What We Are Looking For
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 
 Experience:
 
 8+ years of experience in Mission Critical / Data Center infrastructure design and construction, with at least 2+ years in a dedicated executive or director-level leadership role.
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Pedigree:
 
 A proven track record of leadership within top-tier mission-critical engineering firms, major Data Center Developers, or hyperscale cloud providers.
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Technical Breadth:
 
 While a background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is expected, you must possess a comprehensive understanding of how electrical distribution, high-density cooling systems, and structural dynamics integrate.
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Qualifications:
 
 B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Executive Presence:
 
 Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to influence C-suite stakeholders, navigate complex client dynamics, and make definitive pivot-point decisions under pressure.
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Location:
 
 Ideally Dallas or Atlanta based.
 </li>
