Job Title: Full Charge Bookkeeper -Month End ClosingWe are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Month-End Close Bookkeeper to join our growing bookkeeping firm. This role is responsible for managing full-charge bookkeeping and the month-end close process for various clients, ensuring all financial records are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule..The ideal candidate thrives on deadlines, understands accrual-based accounting, and can confidently communicate with both internal team members and clients.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage full-charge bookkeeping and month-end close for multiple client accounts.</li><li>Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet accounts</li><li>Review and post journal entries (accruals, prepaids, depreciation, payroll adjustments)</li><li>Ensure revenue and expense accuracy and proper classification</li><li>Review Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable aging reports</li><li>Record and reconcile payroll entries</li><li>Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements (P&amp;L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)</li><li>Analyze financial reports for discrepancies or unusual activity</li><li>Maintain fixed asset schedules and record depreciation</li><li>Assist with 1099 tracking and reporting</li><li>Communicate directly with staff regarding documentation and financial inquiries.</li><li>Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal firm standards</li><li>Support year-end preparation and collaborate with CPAs when needed</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>10+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience</li><li>Strong understanding of month-end close procedures</li><li>Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online required)</li><li>Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets</li><li>Knowledge of accrual accounting</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Ability to manage multiple client deadlines</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting or related field</li><li>Experience working in a bookkeeping or CPA firm environment</li><li>Familiarity with multi-entity or multi-client accounting</li></ul>Performance Expectations<ul><li>Month-end closes completed by agreed client deadlines</li><li>Financial reports delivered with minimal revisions</li><li>Clear and professional client communication</li><li>Accurate and audit-ready financial records</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Schedule<ul><li>Part-time options available</li><li>Competitive pay based on experience</li><li>Remote-friendly position</li><li>Opportunities for growth within the firm</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: Remote

```Duties````MUST HAVE QUICKBOOKS ONLINE EXPERIENCE- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the organization - Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documents - Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial transactions - Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes - Generate financial reports and statements for management review - Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors - Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits - Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations - Perform other related duties as assigned```Requirements``` - Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role - Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts - Proficient in using accounting software such as Quicken or QuickBooks - Knowledge of tax regulations and familiarity with government accounting procedures - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping - Excellent 10-key typing skills for efficient data processing - Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients - Experience in Florida Sales tax - Familiarity with financial report writing is preferredNote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
