Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Substitute Teacher to join our vibrant educational community! This will be on an as needed basis, covering call-outs, vacations, etc. with the opportunity to move to a regularly scheduled part-time position.In this role, you will step into classrooms across various ages, providing seamless instructional support and maintaining a positive learning environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable classroom experience in diverse settings.Duties<ul><li>Deliver engaging lessons based on prepared lesson plans or general curriculum guidelines, ensuring students stay focused and motivated.</li><li>Manage classroom behavior effectively by implementing positive behavior management strategies and maintaining a respectful environment.</li><li>Support students&rsquo; individual needs by assisting with literacy, math, and other core subjects, including early childhood education and special education accommodations.</li><li>Foster a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation, creativity, and social-emotional development.</li><li>Collaborate with school staff to communicate student progress, behavioral concerns, or special needs such as working with children with autism or those requiring Montessori or preschool approaches.</li><li>Assist with lesson planning and curriculum development when needed to enhance instructional quality.</li><li>Uphold school policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with safety standards and confidentiality.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Prior classroom experience or childcare background required, especially in preschool, early childhood education, or private school environments.</li><li>Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and parents.</li><li>Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.</li><li>Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds, including those with special needs or requiring literacy or math support.</li><li>Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and tutoring methods is a plus.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and grade levels.</li><li>Passion for working with children and fostering their growth in childhood development stages.
