Job Summary Harbour Place Dental is looking to complete our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant (Registered Dental Assistant - RDA) and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care! This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and more, all while working with cutting-edge technology like digital imaging systems.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontic treatments, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.</li><li>Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained.</li><li>Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and medical documentation protocols.</li><li>Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic to ensure accurate medical records and medical coding.</li><li>Perform vital signs assessment and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient evaluations.</li><li>Support front desk operations by assisting the dental receptionist with appointment scheduling and patient communication when needed.</li><li>Maintain inventory of dental supplies and sterilization of instruments to uphold clinic safety standards.</li><li>Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment plans, and post-procedure care to enhance their understanding and comfort.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license or certification with proven experience in dental assisting.</li><li>Proficiency in chairside assisting across general dentistry procedures; experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus.</li><li>Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques.</li><li>Familiarity with digital imaging tools including X-ray equipment is preferred.</li><li>Ability to perform vital signs measurement and support procedures involving medical terminology and documentation.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages.</li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
