The ideal candidate will have some courtroom experience and strong legal research and writing skills. $80,000 - $100,000 yearly plus profit sharing bonus. We offer medical insurance and 401k plan
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations</li>
<li>Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff</li>
<li>Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys</li>
<li>Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals</li>
<li>Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action</li>
</ul><ul><li>Onboard new clients</li><li>
Attend Meeting of Creditors for Chapter 7 and Chapter 13</li><li>
Attend Court hearings</li><li>
Communicate with clients</li><li>
Communicate with the courts</li><li>
Communicate with the trustees</li><li>
Follow up with clients for documents</li><li>
Review Petition and Schedules</li><li>
Analyze clients' financial situations</li><li>
Provide Solutions to Clients</li><li>
Prepare Motions and Briefs</li><li>
Willing to pursue a career in bankruptcy</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)</li>
<li>Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school</li>
<li>Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base</li>
<li>Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients</li>
<li>Successful completion of the bar exam</li>
</ul><ul><li>Experienced Bankruptcy attorney</li><li>
Must be organized</li><li>
Must have good communication skills</li><li>
Must be willing to seek self-improvement</li></ul>
