About HaustayHaustay Vacation Rentals manages 80+ premium coastal short-term rental properties with a focus on exceptional guest experiences and well-maintained homes. We are seeking a reliable, skilled Property Maintenance Technician to help keep our growing portfolio operating at a high standard.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs across a portfolio of vacation rental properties</li><li>Respond promptly to maintenance issues identified by guests, housekeeping, or management</li><li>Complete light electrical (fixtures, outlets), plumbing (faucets, toilets), drywall, painting, appliance setup, and general upkeep</li><li>Conduct property walkthroughs between guest stays to proactively identify repair needs or improvements</li><li>Maintain tools, pick up supplies, and keep accurate logs of work performed and time tracking through our software</li><li>Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and support project execution as needed</li><li>Communicate professionally with guests and team members during on-site visits to ensure a positive experience</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>2+ years of hands-on maintenance or handyman experience (residential, hospitality, or property management preferred)</li><li>Working knowledge of basic trades: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting</li><li>Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently</li><li>Valid California driver&rsquo;s license, reliable vehicle, and insurance</li><li>Ability to lift 50+ lbs, use ladders, and work in varied environments</li><li>Strong time management, reliability, and attention to detail</li><li>Professional demeanor with the ability to interact with guests when needed</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>$28 &ndash; $32/hour (based on experience)</li><li>Paid sick leave</li><li>Mileage and cell phone reimbursement</li><li>Consistent, full-time schedule (Thursday&ndash;Monday)</li><li>Opportunity for advancement into Lead Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Supervisor roles</li></ul>Position OverviewThis role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality work, can operate independently, and understands the importance of maintenance in delivering a great guest experience across a growing portfolio.Job Type: Full-timePay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hourAbility to Commute:<ul><li>Oceanside, CA 92056 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Oceanside, CA 92056: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
