Key Responsibilities1. Laboratory Operations &amp; Management<ul><li>Plan, organize, and supervise day-to-day laboratory activities</li><li>Ensure optimal utilization of laboratory space, equipment, and resources</li><li>Schedule experiments, testing, and maintenance activities</li><li>Maintain laboratory records, logs, and documentation</li></ul>2. Equipment &amp; Infrastructure Management<ul><li>Oversee procurement, installation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory instruments</li><li>Ensure proper functioning of advanced biotech equipment (PCR, fermenters, HPLC, spectrophotometers, biosafety cabinets, etc.)</li><li>Coordinate with vendors for service contracts and repairs</li></ul>3. Quality Control &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Implement and monitor quality management systems (GLP, GMP, ISO, NABL, etc.)</li><li>Ensure compliance with biosafety, bioethics, and regulatory guidelines</li><li>Prepare laboratories for internal and external audits and inspections</li><li>Maintain SOPs, protocols, and validation documents</li></ul>4. Safety &amp; Biosafety Management<ul><li>Enforce laboratory safety rules and biosafety practices</li><li>Manage biological waste disposal and chemical safety procedures</li><li>Conduct safety training and risk assessments</li><li>Ensure compliance with institutional biosafety committee (IBC) requirements</li></ul>5. Inventory &amp; Budget Management<ul><li>Manage laboratory inventory of reagents, chemicals, consumables, and cultures</li><li>Monitor stock levels and place orders to avoid shortages</li><li>Prepare and manage laboratory budgets and cost controls</li><li>Track expenditure and optimize resource utilization</li></ul>6. Staff Supervision &amp; Training<ul><li>Supervise lab technicians, research assistants, and interns</li><li>Assign tasks and monitor performance</li><li>Train staff in laboratory techniques, SOPs, safety, and equipment usage</li><li>Support student and researcher projects</li></ul>7. Research &amp; Technical Support<ul><li>Provide technical expertise for experiments and troubleshooting</li><li>Support R&amp;D projects, product development, and method optimization</li><li>Assist principal investigators, scientists, and students in experimental design</li><li>Analyze and review experimental data when required</li></ul>8. Documentation &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Maintain experimental records, lab notebooks, and digital databases</li><li>Prepare technical reports, SOP updates, and compliance documentation</li><li>Assist in grant reporting, regulatory submissions, and project reviews</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Educational Background</li><li>MSc / MTech / PhD in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, or related fields</li><li>Experience</li><li>Typically 1&ndash;3 years of laboratory experience</li><li>Prior experience in research labs, biotech industries, QC/QA labs, or clinical laboratories is preferred</li></ul>Key Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Strong knowledge of biotechnology techniques and instrumentation</li><li>Laboratory management and organizational skills</li><li>Understanding of regulatory standards (GLP, GMP, ISO, biosafety norms)</li><li>Leadership and team management abilities</li><li>Budgeting and inventory control skills</li><li>Excellent documentation and communication skills</li><li>Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities</li><li>Computer proficiency (LIMS, MS Office, data management software)</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Cell phone reimbursement</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Food provided</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Provident Fund</li><li>Work from home</li></ul>Work Location: In person
