Key Responsibilities
1. Laboratory Operations & Management
- Plan, organize, and supervise day-to-day laboratory activities
- Ensure optimal utilization of laboratory space, equipment, and resources
- Schedule experiments, testing, and maintenance activities
- Maintain laboratory records, logs, and documentation
2. Equipment & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee procurement, installation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory instruments
- Ensure proper functioning of advanced biotech equipment (PCR, fermenters, HPLC, spectrophotometers, biosafety cabinets, etc.)
- Coordinate with vendors for service contracts and repairs
3. Quality Control & Compliance
- Implement and monitor quality management systems (GLP, GMP, ISO, NABL, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with biosafety, bioethics, and regulatory guidelines
- Prepare laboratories for internal and external audits and inspections
- Maintain SOPs, protocols, and validation documents
4. Safety & Biosafety Management
- Enforce laboratory safety rules and biosafety practices
- Manage biological waste disposal and chemical safety procedures
- Conduct safety training and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with institutional biosafety committee (IBC) requirements
5. Inventory & Budget Management
- Manage laboratory inventory of reagents, chemicals, consumables, and cultures
- Monitor stock levels and place orders to avoid shortages
- Prepare and manage laboratory budgets and cost controls
- Track expenditure and optimize resource utilization
6. Staff Supervision & Training
- Supervise lab technicians, research assistants, and interns
- Assign tasks and monitor performance
- Train staff in laboratory techniques, SOPs, safety, and equipment usage
- Support student and researcher projects
7. Research & Technical Support
- Provide technical expertise for experiments and troubleshooting
- Support R&D projects, product development, and method optimization
- Assist principal investigators, scientists, and students in experimental design
- Analyze and review experimental data when required
8. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain experimental records, lab notebooks, and digital databases
- Prepare technical reports, SOP updates, and compliance documentation
- Assist in grant reporting, regulatory submissions, and project reviews
Required Qualifications
- Educational Background
- MSc / MTech / PhD in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, or related fields
- Experience
- Typically 1–3 years of laboratory experience
- Prior experience in research labs, biotech industries, QC/QA labs, or clinical laboratories is preferred

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
