Position Title: School SecretaryLocation: Heritage Christian School Reports To: School Administrator Hours: Monday&ndash;Friday, 7:45 AM &ndash; 3:45 PM (Full-Time)Position OverviewHeritage Christian School is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and welcoming School Secretary to serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors. This position plays a vital role in supporting daily school operations while upholding the mission and values of a Christ-centered educational environment.The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities with accuracy and professionalism.Key ResponsibilitiesFront Office &amp; Communication<ul><li>Serve as the primary greeter for all visitors, parents, and students</li><li>Answer and direct phone calls and emails in a professional and courteous manner</li><li>Maintain a welcoming, organized, and secure front office environment</li><li>Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families</li></ul>Student Records &amp; Attendance<ul><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records</li><li>Track and manage daily attendance, including reporting and follow-up</li><li>Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of all student information</li></ul>Financial Processing<ul><li>Receive and process payments including cash, checks, and credit cards</li><li>Accurately apply payments to student accounts</li><li>Maintain detailed financial records and assist with reporting as needed</li></ul>Administrative &amp; Organizational Support<ul><li>Perform filing, data entry, and document management with a high level of accuracy</li><li>Maintain organized physical and digital records</li><li>Assist staff and administration with clerical and administrative tasks</li><li>Support school events and daily operations as needed</li></ul>Visitor Management &amp; Security<ul><li>Manage and enforce visitor check-in/check-out procedures</li><li>Ensure all visitors follow school safety protocols</li><li>Maintain awareness of campus activity to support a safe environment</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Strong organizational skills with attention to detail</li><li>Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive) and Microsoft Office</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and accurately</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Ability to follow directions and work independently</li><li>Experience handling money, basic accounting, or bookkeeping preferred</li><li>Previous school or office administrative experience preferred</li></ul>Personal &amp; Spiritual Expectations<ul><li>Demonstrate a commitment to Christian values and the mission of Heritage Christian School</li><li>Maintain a positive, respectful, and servant-hearted attitude</li><li>Exhibit integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the office during the workday</li><li>Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $15.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekExperience:<ul><li>Office or secretary : 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>Location:<ul><li>Hudson, NC 28638 (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
