Assistant Manager - Heritage School of Interior Design, UtahThis part-time job-share position reports to the CEO/Executive Director. In this highly visible role, you will be the co-leader responsible for the success of operations at the HSID Utah Campus. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will represent the voice of the day to day and strategic needs of the HSID Utah school including students, prospective students, staff and contractors and the design community to the leadership team and will inform and shape the strategic direction and overall success of the Heritage School of Interior Design.About Heritage School of Interior DesignHeritage School of Interior Design prepares students for rapid entry into a career as an interior designer. The school has a very strong culture and all staff members are team players who are flexible, personable, open-minded, passionate, encouraging, supportive, and caring.Our Vision: To empower the creativity of aspiring interior designers with a quality, hands-on education to achieve personal growth and professional success in the shortest possible time.Our Core Values: Empower the success of others, pursue growth and learning, be creative and open-minded, be passionate and determined, have the courage to change course, be humble and collaborativeThe ideal candidate must be:<ul><li>Well versed in the interior design/architectural industry</li><li>An excellent, responsive communicator and problem solver</li><li>Well versed in the interior design business</li><li>Detail oriented with a thorough understanding of the big picture</li><li>Adaptable &amp; Dynamic</li><li>Tech Savvy with experience in architectural softwares</li><li>Able to shift between tasks in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Able to work well under pressure</li><li>Able to act without guidance</li><li>Able to work independently or in a team</li><li>Able to maintain strong interpersonal skills</li><li>Passionate about design</li></ul>Job Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist in long term strategic planning for school and student success</li><li>Manage communication with students via email and phone about admissions information, field general inquiries and questions.</li><li>Manage the collection, input and use of data in our online CRM system, which tracks student information, enrollment, payments, etc.</li><li>Manage email and other marketing campaigns to the prospective, current and past student database.</li><li>Maintain student records and provide all necessary student support regarding their records.</li><li>Coordinate and analyze student feedback and support students and teachers with resolving problems and maintaining quality standards.</li><li>Support students in scheduling portfolio reviews.</li><li>Coordinate with community partners and students for school promotional opportunities.</li><li>Assist in new team member onboarding process and training</li><li>Order supplies for office and classroom as needed</li><li>Assist the CEO/Executive Director and Instructors with administrative tasks as needed.</li></ul>Marketing Responsibilities<ul><li>Attend weekly marketing/planning meetings with the CEO/Executive Director</li><li>Update the website as needed for all HSID locations</li><li>Compose and publish student success story blogs routinely</li><li>Compose and send monthly HSID newsletters</li><li>Create flyers and marketing materials for HSID events and open houses</li><li>Assist in maintaining the social media presence for Heritage School of Interior Design</li></ul>Minimum Work Experience/Qualifications<ul><li>Background working in interior design or architecture</li><li>Proactive and innovative thinker - must be a troubleshooter and problem solver</li><li>Proficient computer skills + technical skills with architectural softwares</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Self motivated with ability to work independently</li><li>Organized and efficient with time management with high attention to detail</li></ul>Preferred, but not required, Education and Work Experience/Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in interior design, architecture, or related fields</li><li>Heritage Graduate</li><li>Experience using a CRM (customer relationship management) system</li><li>Experience using social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest)</li><li>Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp and Photoshop</li><li>Some art/photography/design background</li></ul>Pay: From $35.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Work Location: In person

INTERIOR DESIGN INSTRUCTOR Seeking a Part-time Interior Design Instructor for a Private Career School, offered under an independent contractor agreement for approximately 10-15 hours/week.About Heritage School of Interior DesignHeritage School of Interior Design prepares students for a career as an interior designer. The school has a very strong culture and all team members are flexible, personable, open-minded, passionate, encouraging, supportive, caring and a team player.Vision: To empower the creativity of aspiring interior designers with a quality, hands-on education to achieve personal growth and professional success.Values: Empower the success of others, pursue growth and learning, be creative and open-minded, be passionate and determined, have the courage to change course, be humble and collaborativeJob Responsibilities <ul><li>Teach Fundamentals of Interior Design Certification Program weekly on Saturdays for 16 consecutive weeks, twice per year.</li><li>Teach from established curriculum.</li><li>Prepare class materials and exercises around approved curriculum to ensure student achievement of learning objectives as well as student engagement and satisfaction.</li><li>Teach and lead each designated course session, providing guidance and assistance to students on all projects and assignments.</li><li>Measure and grade student comprehension of all projects and assignments against learning objectives, using progress reports.</li><li>Maintain and improve all current curriculum content, presentation and instructional materials based on collaboration with the Director and as measured by student performance, feedback and direct observation.</li><li>Administer and grade tests and quizzes and provide leadership, feedback and critique on student final project presentations.</li><li>Work with the Director to help ensure teaching strategies meet overall learning and business objectives.</li><li>Stay current in relevant subject matter through professional development, involvement in professional organizations, and attending professional meetings, conferences, workshops.</li><li>Learn and use technology to enhance teaching and the educational experience when appropriate.</li></ul>Minimum Work Experience/Qualifications<ul><li>Five years (10,000 hours) of acceptable full or part-time equivalent interior design employment/work experience must be documented.</li></ul>OR<ul><li>Successful completion of an accredited or board approved program in the occupational area as well as a minimum of two years (4,000 hours) of acceptable full or part-time equivalent interior design employment/work experience is required.</li><li>Knowledge of adult learning principles with experienced application</li><li>Excellent verbal communication and strong presentation skills</li><li>Ability to organize and communicate with a high attention to detail</li><li>Working knowledge of most of the following subject matter and willingness to learn what is not familiar:</li></ul>Design process, principles &amp; elements of design, space planning, kitchen &amp; bath design, history of furniture, design products and materials, socially responsible design, professional practice considerationsPreferred Work Experience/Qualifications<ul><li>Combined residential and commercial interior design experience</li><li>Hand drawing and rendering skills</li><li>AutoCAD, SketchUp, Illustrator, Photoshop, In-Design</li></ul>Schedule:<ul><li>6-8 hour shift</li></ul>Work Location: In personJob Types: Part-time, ContractPay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hourWork Location: In person
