Assistant Manager for Interior Design School

Assistant Manager - Heritage School of Interior Design, Utah

This part-time job-share position reports to the CEO/Executive Director. In this highly visible role, you will be the co-leader responsible for the success of operations at the HSID Utah Campus. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will represent the voice of the day to day and strategic needs of the HSID Utah school including students, prospective students, staff and contractors and the design community to the leadership team and will inform and shape the strategic direction and overall success of the Heritage School of Interior Design.

Heritage School of Interior Design prepares students for rapid entry into a career as an interior designer. The primary course offered at the school is the Fundamentals of Interior Design and we have several technical courses to further enhance our students skills and give them a competitive edge in the industry. Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in long term strategic planning for school and student success
  • Manage communication with students via email and phone about admissions information, field general inquiries and questions.
  • Manage the collection, input and use of data in our online CRM system, which tracks student information, enrollment, payments, etc.
  • Manage email and other marketing campaigns to the prospective, current and past student database.
  • Maintain student records and provide all necessary student support regarding their records.
  • Coordinate and analyze student feedback and support students and teachers with resolving problems and maintaining quality standards.
  • Support students in scheduling portfolio reviews.
  • Coordinate with community partners and students for school promotional opportunities.
  • Assist in new team member onboarding process and training
  • Order supplies for office and classroom as needed
  • Assist the CEO/Executive Director and Instructors with administrative tasks as needed.

Marketing Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly marketing/planning meetings with the CEO/Executive Director
  • Update the website as needed for all HSID locations
  • Compose and publish student success story blogs routinely
  • Compose and send monthly HSID newsletters
  • Create flyers and marketing materials for HSID events and open houses
  • Assist in maintaining the social media presence for Heritage School of Interior Design

Minimum Work Experience/Qualifications

  • Background working in interior design or architecture
  • Proactive and innovative thinker - must be a troubleshooter and problem solver
  • Proficient computer skills + technical skills with architectural softwares
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self motivated with ability to work independently
  • Organized and efficient with time management with high attention to detail

Preferred, but not required, Education and Work Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in interior design, architecture, or related fields
  • Heritage Graduate
  • Experience using a CRM (customer relationship management) system
  • Experience using social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest)
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp and Photoshop
  • Some art/photography/design background

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
