We are currently looking for a: 
Water Country - Sales &amp; Marketing Intern
Roles &amp; Responsibilities: 
The Sales &amp; Marketing Intern&rsquo;s primary function is to work cooperatively with the Director of Marketing to develop and execute the park&rsquo;s sales and marketing strategies and tactics. This position will develop a broad understanding of marketing and communication practices that maximize attendance, revenue, and guest experience.
This position is also responsible for assisting Sales &amp; Marketing leadership with a variety of marketing duties as they relate to Water Country.
Roles &amp; Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Lead and complete special projects and initiatives related to marketing, sales, and content creation
</li></ul><ul><li>Participate in the development of marketing and communication initiatives and campaigns
</li></ul><ul><li>Assist with addressing phone calls and emails from guests regarding general park questions and concerns
</li></ul><ul><li>Routinely greet guests at the front gate and provide guidance and assistance to enhance their experience
</li></ul><ul><li>Perform various sales duties including prospecting new leads and developing group sales campaigns using e-mail, direct mail and cold calling
</li></ul><ul><li>Assist with the planning and execution of large-scale events in the park including set up, event management and post-event duties
</li></ul><ul><li>Deliver/mail tickets, serve as primary point of contact for groups
</li></ul><ul><li>Manage client database including information pertaining to sales leads, inquiries, lost business and sales revenue
</li></ul><ul><li>Compose and distribute various forms of written communication such as press releases, social media posts, reports, creative briefs, and website content
</li></ul><ul><li>Design effective and creative media, including in-park signage and website, email, social, print assets, and other content
</li></ul><ul><li>Provide excellent guest service for guests visiting the park or inquires online
</li></ul><ul><li>Serve as a brand ambassador for partners, media, and guests
</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain composure and a high degree of professionalism when handling and/or responding to negative feedback
</li></ul><ul><li>Participate in the development of marketing strategies and communication initiatives
</li></ul><ul><li>Assist with market research and data analysis
</li></ul><ul><li>Communicate with consignment and hotel partners and assist with delivery of tickets
</li></ul><ul><li>Assist with invoicing and payment collection for groups, consignment partners, and other partners
</li></ul><ul><li>Comfortably wear and assist with brand mascot appearances abiding by all mascot rules and regulations
</li></ul><ul><li>All other duties assigned by leadership
</li></ul>Education and Experience:
<ul><li>Currently majoring in (or graduated with) with a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related discipline
</li></ul><ul><li>1+ year of related experience highly desired but not required
</li></ul><ul><li>Previous amusement park, theme park, or water park experience a plus
</li></ul>Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
Requirements:
<ul><li>Must be at least 16 years of age to comply with NH Child Labor Laws
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, open to close
</li></ul><ul><li>Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to directly engage with customers and other web media resources
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to write content in a clear, concise and professional manner
</li></ul><ul><li>Must be comfortable speaking in front of large groups
</li></ul><ul><li>Must possess technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing.
</li></ul><ul><li>Previous knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics.
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to learn and use Salesforce CRM
</li></ul><ul><li>Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
</li></ul><ul><li>Must possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to use office technology and equipment, such as PC, software, copier, and telephone
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently
</li></ul>Physical Requirements:
<ul><li>Ability to remain seated for extended periods of time, while using a computer
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for long periods of time throughout the day
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders
</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 20 pounds or more
</li></ul>Working Conditions:
<ul><li>This role will be primarily based in an office setting with frequent interaction with other outdoor park locations
</li></ul><ul><li>Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, and other weather conditions
</li></ul><ul><li>Subject to frequent interruptions, constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, and heavily populated environments

Water Country - Human Resources Intern
Roles &amp; Responsibilities: 
The HR Intern is responsible for a variety of tasks that support the daily operations of the HR department.

Roles &amp; Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Welcome hosts and guests with a smile and positive attitude!
</li></ul><ul><li>Professionally and legally represent Water Country to ensure continued compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws
</li></ul><ul><li>Assist with the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; Duties may include, but are not limited to, applicant screening, interviews, onboarding, and new hire orientations
</li></ul><ul><li>Coordinate host recognition programs including a robust events schedule including both on-site and off-site locations
</li></ul><ul><li>Lead and complete special projects to improve processes related to HR
</li></ul><ul><li>Identify opportunities for program improvement and assist with developing and implementing enhancements to HR processes
</li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with leadership and the department heads open channels of communication between departments
</li></ul><ul><li>Prepare onboarding information packets for new employees
</li></ul><ul><li>Assist with processing HR paperwork, employee transactions, and terminations
</li></ul><ul><li>Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors
</li></ul><ul><li>Review and track compliance with work permits for minors and International students
</li></ul><ul><li>Assist employees with Workday navigation and password resets
</li></ul><ul><li>Assist with copying, filing and various other administrative duties, including inbound phone calls
</li></ul><ul><li>All other duties assigned by leadership
</li></ul>J-1 International Student Responsibilities:
Water Country&rsquo;s workforce includes a small number of hosts visiting the United States from international countries as part of a cultural exchange (J-1 visa) program. The HR Intern will assist park management with specific duties related to the development of these participants. Duties may include:
<ul><li>Assist with J-1 onboarding, including answering questions, collecting housing deposits, paperwork processing (including Social Security and banking), familiarizing hosts with the property and town of Portsmouth, etc.
</li></ul><ul><li>Welcome new arrivals and help get them checked in and moved into housing
</li></ul><ul><li>Help clean and prepare suites in the student housing facility prior to moving in and upon moving out, as well as maintaining positive, professional relationships with housing management
</li></ul><ul><li>Conduct semi-monthly housing inspections (off-site) to ensure that facilities are kept in excellent condition
</li></ul><ul><li>Transport students to approved destinations, when needed
</li></ul><ul><li>Assist with addressing any concerns the students may have
</li></ul>Education &amp; Work Experience:
<ul><li>Intern candidates must be currently enrolled in a higher education program, majoring in Human Resources, Business Management, Sociology, or related field of study
</li></ul><ul><li>Minimum of 1-year of related work experience in HR or Hospitality highly desired.
</li></ul>Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
