<div>Job Summary
The Manufacturing Department Leader is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the manufacturing department to ensure efficient production, quality standards, and safety compliance. This role involves leading a team of supervisors and production staff, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating cross-functionally to meet organizational goals.
Essential Job Duties/Functions (Not all inclusive)<ul><li>
Lead and manage manufacturing operations to meet production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules.</li><li>
Supervise, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.</li><li>
Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.</li><li>
Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to resolve issues and optimize processes.</li><li>
Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and support cost reduction efforts.</li><li>
Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports for senior management.</li><li>
Participate in strategic planning and budgeting for the department.</li><li>
Manage cost of manufacturing by keeping operational expenses within budget and investigating cost-reduction measures.</li></ul>
Education
<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field (preferred).</li></ul>
Work Experience
<ul><li>7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.</li></ul>
Required &amp; Preferred Skills and Competencies
<ul><li>Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.</li><li>
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Proven interpersonal skills and a strong ability to build rapport with stakeholders.</li><li>
Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic global environment with multiple changing priorities.</li></ul>

The performance of this position normally requires exposure to a typical manufacturing environment that requires the use of personal protective equipment including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses and hearing protection. Manufacturing areas may be affected by outside temperatures and machining.
