</p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>
Creates suggested orders of basic merchandise as directed by Department Buyer.</li><li>
Reviews zero quantity on hand reports weekly.</li><li>
Checks the Buyers list for special orders daily.</li><li>
Updates catalogs and price lists with most current pricing and cost information.</li><li>
Works in conjunction with Accounts Payable on matching credit memos with debit memos and with Data Processing on updating perpetual inventory information.</li><li>
Assist sales associates with bin lable maintenance when retail prices change or merchandise is marked for store closeout/discontinued.</li><li>
Perform data entry and process pre-season orders for seasonal merchandise changes.</li></ul><p>
Non-Essential Job Functions:</p><ul><li>
Provides support documents and information on all returns to returns coordinator.</li><li>
Assists sales associates with maintaining inventory count accuracy.</li><li>
Participates in hands-on training of the features, benefits, application, and &quot;how to sell&quot; of the products in the area of responsibility.</li><li>
Works in conjunction with the Buyer and Section Manager on shrinkage prevention programs, maintains high awareness of causes of loss, and reports all security violations to Store Management.</li><li>
Maintains a clean and safe work area for customers and employees, executes the proper reporting of accidents and/or safety hazards, knows the location and operation of fire extinquishers, and trains other employees on any hazardous materials sold in the section and proper procedures for spill clean-up.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><ul><li>
Experiences working in a retail environment as a sales associate, supervisor, manager, or buyer's assistant; or experience as a retail sales associate/cashier combined with previous office administrative experience.</li><li>
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, proficient in Excel.</li><li>
Familiarity with Eagle Inventory Control System is a plus.</li><li>
Utilized training to stay up to date with any software changes that affect buyer's role.</li><li>
Adhers to Company policy and procedures.</li><li>
Act as a role model within and outside the company.</li><li>
Performs duties as workload necessitates.</li><li>
Maintains a positive and respectful attitude and makes a diligent effort to work agreeably with fellow section employees and department heads.</li><li>
Communicates regularly with supervisor and department heads</li><li>
Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload without constant supervision.</li><li>
Consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of position.</li><li>
Meets department productivity standards.</li><li>
Is willing to accept assignment to other sections or departments as needed.</li></ul></div>
