This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to support student-athletes, promote sportsmanship, and contribute to the development of a successful softball program. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, coaching experience, and a passion for working with young athletes.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices, drills, and game strategies for softball teams.</li><li>Support athlete development through teaching techniques, skills, and sportsmanship principles.</li><li>Help monitor player behavior, enforce team rules, and promote positive conduct on and off the field.</li><li>Provide guidance on safety protocols during practices and games to ensure a secure environment.</li><li>Collaborate with school staff to coordinate schedules, transportation, and event logistics.</li><li>Foster a team-oriented atmosphere that encourages teamwork, discipline, and personal growth.</li><li>Assist with equipment management, record keeping, and other administrative duties as needed.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education.</li><li>Background in softball or related sports such as basketball or cheerleading is preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of behavior management techniques to motivate and guide students effectively.</li><li>Ability to work with children and adolescents in a positive, encouraging manner.</li><li>Familiarity with health club or gym environments is a plus.</li><li>Lifeguard experience or swimming skills are advantageous for supporting diverse athletic activities.</li><li>Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, parents, and staff effectively.
