Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Assistant Softball Coach to join our athletic staff. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to support student-athletes, promote sportsmanship, and contribute to the development of a successful softball program. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, coaching experience, and a passion for working with young athletes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices, drills, and game strategies for softball teams.
• Support athlete development through teaching techniques, skills, and sportsmanship principles.
• Help monitor player behavior, enforce team rules, and promote positive conduct on and off the field.
• Provide guidance on safety protocols during practices and games to ensure a secure environment.
• Collaborate with school staff to coordinate schedules, transportation, and event logistics.
• Foster a team-oriented atmosphere that encourages teamwork, discipline, and personal growth.
• Assist with equipment management, record keeping, and other administrative duties as needed.

Skills

• Experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education.
• Background in softball or related sports such as basketball or cheerleading is preferred.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques to motivate and guide students effectively.
• Ability to work with children and adolescents in a positive, encouraging manner.
• Familiarity with health club or gym environments is a plus.
• Lifeguard experience or swimming skills are advantageous for supporting diverse athletic activities.

Pay: $2,500.00 - $3,800.00 per year
