MUST provide resume to be considered.The Rigger safely moves, lifts, and installs heavy equipment or materials using Lifting and Handling tools such as wire ropes, cranes, forklifts and chainfalls. They plan and set up rigging systems, attach loads securely, and coordinate with teams to ensure everything is moved safely and efficiently.<ul><li>Assemble rigging to lift and move equipment or material in manufacturing plant or shipyard, select wire ropes, synthetic slings, chainfalls, winches, blocks, and sheaves, according to weight and size of load to be moved.</li><li>Give directions to Crane Operator or Hoisting Engineer engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and material handled, using hand signals, loudspeaker, or radio.</li><li>Rigging lift duties include maintenance on cranes, re-wiring cranes, and pouring sockets in accordance with applicable regulations. Splices synthetic or natural fiber rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle.</li><li>Attach load with rigging gear such as slings, wires, ropes and chains, to crane hook. Give directions to Crane Operator or Hoisting Engineer engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and material handled, using hand signals, loudspeaker, or telephone.</li><li>May direct workers engaged in hoisting machinery and equipment.</li><li>Work with Test Team to test and certify cranes.</li><li>Use forklifts to move material.</li><li>Set up, braces, and rigs hoisting equipment, using hand tools and power wrenches, splices rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle, and may direct workers engaged in hoisting machinery and equipment.</li><li>Test and certify rigging gear and equipment in accordance with applicable regulations.</li><li>Ensure equipment being used is certified, appropriate for the application, and inspected prior to use.</li><li>This position may be subject to call-back availability based on operational needs.</li><li>All Other Duties/Projects as Assigned</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Applicable Rigger training and certificate from NCCER, NCCCO, or from approved 3rd party certification body, required.</li><li>Forklift certification required.</li><li>At least 3-5 years of experience in cranes.</li><li>Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.</li><li>Ability to do basic math, i.e. add, subtract, divide, and multiply.</li><li>Ability to perform metric conversions.</li><li>Understanding of rigging components such as shackles, wire rope slings, block and tackle, come-a-longs, and air tuggers, including their capacities and proper use.</li><li>Familiar with crane signals.</li><li>Knowledge of different crane operations, such as mobile cranes, bridge cranes and jib cranes.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Must be able to provide customer service in a professional and courteous manner.</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crawl, reach, push, pull, and climb.</li><li>Must be able to lift 50 lbs.</li></ul>Security Requirements:<ul><li>Must have the ability to acquire federal security clearance</li><li>Required drug screening, physical, and background check</li></ul>Driving Requirements:<ul><li>A valid state driver license is required. Our company needs qualified, reliable, honest, and hardworking people to be a part of a winning team. MUST provide resume to be considered.The HVAC Mechanic I performs routine maintenance and basic repairs on HVAC systems, including replacing motors, pumps, seals, and bearings, and servicing components such as strainers and filters. They also communicate with customers to provide service updates and support daily operations.<ul><li>Replace/repair motors, pumps, seals, and bearings.</li><li>Clean strainers, adjust pressure, reduce valves, and expansion tanks</li><li>Recover refrigerant and dispose of HVAC equipment following EPA guidelines.</li><li>Arrange and clean tools, replace simple components, and change filters.</li><li>Must have knowledge of control circuity and basic wiring.</li><li>Mechanics may work under supervision to receive technical guidance from a supervisor or higher-level technician.</li><li>Communicate directly with customers to assess needs, provide updates, and address inquiries or concerns.</li><li>Communicate with scheduler to update status of repairs and estimate completion dates.</li><li>Ensures completed work meets quality control standards.</li><li>Assist with orienting and training new employees and assist in work assignments.</li><li>Must be able to work independently and as a team.</li><li>All Other Duties/Projects as Assigned</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Have at least CFC certification. Additional or civilian HVAC training is desired.</li><li>Ability to work in a variety of different environments, including inclement weather and high man lifts.</li><li>Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.</li><li>Must have excellent oral and written communication skills</li><li>Must be able to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Must be able to provide customer service in a professional and courteous manner</li><li>Must have the ability and be willing to work outside of normal working hours such as back shift and weekends, in the event of unplanned outages.</li><li>If on call, you must be able to respond within one hour.</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crawl, reach, push, pull, and climb.</li><li>Must be able to lift 40 lbs.</li></ul>Security Requirements:<ul><li>Required drug screening, physical, and background check.</li><li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a Ft Lee, Virginia installation clearance and CAC card.</li></ul>Driving Requirements:<ul><li>A valid state driver license is required.
