SCOPE: 
The Association Accounting Manager is a full-time, salaried employee. This employee will report directly to the VP of Association Accounting. The Association Accounting Manager is a supervisor on the accounting team, who ensures financial reporting accuracy and appropriate internal controls within the Vantaca platform. 
RESPONSIBILITES: 
Lead, Manage &amp; Hold Accountable
<ul>
<li>Participate in weekly Accounting L10 meetings</li>
<li>Report weekly and monthly metrics</li>
<li>Oversee other GL accounting team members</li></ul> 


Financial Reporting
<ul>
<li>Manage monthly close process</li>
<li>Produce timely, accurate financial statements</li>
<li>Budget coordination</li>
<li>Coordinate with auditors, when requested</li>
<li>Set up and modify recurring assessment charges</li></ul> 


External Communications
<ul>
<li>Assist with community manager questions and concerns</li>
<li>Periodic communications with board members</li></ul> 


Onboarding
<ul>
<li>Owner balances</li>
<li>Beginning journal entries</li>
<li>Analyze and convert incoming books</li></ul> 


Banking
<ul>
<li>One time and recurring transfers</li>
<li>Troubleshoot banking transactions</li>
<li>Assist with access to non-signer accounts</li></ul> 


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES: 
Knowledge:
The position requires knowledge in the following areas:
<ul>
<li>Community Association Housing Model expertise</li>
<li>Understanding of Microsoft products</li></ul> 


Skills:

The incumbent must possess the following skills:
<ul>
<li>Effective verbal and listening communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, executives and external partners.</li>
<li>Attention to detail and high level of accuracy</li>
<li>Effective organizational skills</li>
<li>Problem solving</li>
<li>Computer skills including the ability to proficiently operate spreadsheets, relational databases, word processing programs, and e-mail as well as type a minimum of 45 wpm</li></ul>

EDUCATION &amp; WORK EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: 
Previous experience producing HOA financials is a must. 


Previous experience producing financials within Vantaca is preferred.
