About Us: Hold The Wheat is a small gluten free bakery and coffee shop that opened in March 2022. We pride ourselves on having a fun and inclusive culture as well as a strong focus on minimizing our carbon footprint and our impact to the planet we live on.Looking for: Front of house bakery counter leadThis position is Part time with typical schedule running Saturday to Monday, other fill in days as needed. Pay for this role is $19-$20/hr (depending on experience) plus tips!This is a supervisory and customer service role.We believe in cross training our staff - this means we are looking for individuals who are potentially interested in learning more about gluten free baking as well as working as a barista and waiting on customers - however we welcome all to apply! In this position you will serve customers a wide range of pastries, cookies, cakes, etc. as well as make espresso and coffee drinks and work with the Toast POS system.Responsibilities<ul><li>Providing high quality customer service and upholding product quality standards.</li><li>Working at the front counter, serving baked goods, making coffee and stocking the bakery cases.</li><li>Supervising baristas and counter staff and making sure breaks are covered</li><li>Ensuring quality and consistency in all front of house areas.</li><li>making sure cases are set up properly, stocked and clean.</li><li>Making sure dining room and customer areas are clean and stocked.</li><li>Taking inventory and reporting needs to operations manager.</li><li>Handling customer concerns or handling refunds.</li><li>Updating stock in the POS as needed.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum of 2 years direct customer service experience.</li><li>Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.</li><li>Good communication skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Welcoming personality, a positive attitude, and team player.</li><li>Knowledge of what it means to be gluten free and attention to allergy concerns and ingredients.</li><li>Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>A self-starter who takes the initiative when needed.</li><li>Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude</li></ul>Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li></ul>Shift:<ul><li>Day shift</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Are you available to work weekends?</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Barista or Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
