The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional patient experience. This position is responsible for managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and providing outstanding customer service in a busy medical office.Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner</li><li>Answer and direct incoming phone calls</li><li>Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments</li><li>Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and eligibility</li><li>Collect copays, balances, and required documentation</li><li>Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR)</li><li>Respond to patient inquiries and assist with office communications</li><li>Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and medical records requests as needed</li><li>Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including faxes and emails</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area</li><li>Follow HIPAA guidelines and all office policies and procedures</li><li>Assist with additional administrative duties as assigned</li></ul>QualificationsRequired<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Minimum of one year of medical office, or receptionist experience</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy healthcare environment</li><li>Proficiency with computers and office equipment</li><li>Professional appearance and demeanor</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>Previous medical receptionist or healthcare front office experience</li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology</li><li>Experience with EMR/EHR systems</li><li>Insurance verification and referral management experience</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Competitive pay based on experience</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Paid time off (PTO)</li><li>Paid holidays</li><li>401(k) with company match</li></ul>Why Join Hoover ENT Associates?At Hoover ENT Associates, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care while fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture.
