As a startup in a rural community, we value flexibility, teamwork, and exceptional service.Position SummaryThe Bartender is responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable guest experience by preparing and serving beverages and food, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. This role plays a key part in delivering a memorable atmosphere for our guests.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Greet guests promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor</li><li>Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards</li><li>Engage with guests, make recommendations, and create a fun, inviting environment</li><li>Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including glassware and equipment</li><li>Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain an accurate register</li><li>Restock bar inventory and assist with inventory and ordering as needed</li><li>Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines</li><li>Collaborate with front desk and kitchen staff to ensure a seamless guest experience</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Previous bartending experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)</li><li>Strong customer service and communication skills</li><li>Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Basic knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine</li><li>Must meet legal age requirements to serve alcohol</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs</li></ul>Preferred Skills<ul><li>Knowledge of local or craft beverages</li><li>Experience with POS systems</li><li>Outgoing personality with a team-first attitude</li></ul>Schedule &amp; Availability<ul><li>Evenings, weekends, and holidays required</li><li>Flexible scheduling based on business needs</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Competitive hourly wage + tips</li><li>Fun, team-oriented work environment</li><li>Opportunity for growth within Hotel Garber</li></ul>Physical &amp; Functional Requirements<ul><li>Endurance: Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods</li><li>Strength: Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying objects (up to 25&ndash;50 lbs)</li><li>Flexibility: Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching</li><li>Mobility: Navigate large areas and various floor types</li><li>Dexterity: Use of hands and fingers for cleaning tools and equipment</li><li>Vision: Must be able to spot cleanliness details and safety hazards</li><li>Repetitive Motions: Includes tasks like sweeping, mopping, and dusting</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li></ul>Work Location: In person
