Their primary responsibilities include:Key Responsibilities- Installing and Maintaining Electrical Systems: Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems. Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment for alarm and other systems.- Troubleshooting and Repair: Identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units. Perform effective troubleshooting to ensure electrical systems are functioning correctly.- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety procedures and legal regulations. Possess thorough knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines.- Collaboration and Communication: Work with other electricians, construction teams, engineers, and clients to ensure effective electrical installations and maintenance. Communicate effectively with guests, staff, and management.- Preventive Maintenance: Routinely inspect and replace old wiring and insulated cables, clean circuits, and perform other maintenance tasks to prevent system breakdowns.To excel in this role, electricians should possess:- Proven Experience: Strong technical knowledge and experience working with electrical systems, tools, and safety regulations.- Physical Stamina: Ability to work long shifts, overnight, and in confined spaces.- Critical Thinking: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.Typically, a diploma in relevant vocational training or a successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician is required.
