Job Description &ndash; Network EngineerPosition OverviewThe Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining the organization&rsquo;s network infrastructure. This role requires strong expertise in firewalls, switching, routing, monitoring, and network security practices. The ideal candidate will possess advanced troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with enterprise-grade network technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Infrastructure Management<ul><li>Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls including Palo Alto, Fortinet, Sophos XGS, and pfSense.</li><li>Administer Cisco and Dell network switches, including VLAN design, STP, EtherChannel, trunking, and switch stack management.</li><li>Configure and support Cisco and Mikrotik routers, including multi-WAN setups, load balancing, and failover.</li><li>Manage LAN/WAN environments and core network services such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and routing policies.</li><li>Design, implement, and maintain site-to-site VPNs (IPSec, OpenVPN, WireGuard) ensuring secure branch connectivity.</li></ul>Network Security<ul><li>Implement and manage perimeter security using firewalls and WAF solutions.</li><li>Conduct Vulnerability Assessment &amp; Penetration Testing (VAPT) across network environments.</li><li>Perform regular security audits, risk assessments, and patching activities.</li><li>Ensure compliance with security standards and enforce network access control policies.</li></ul>Network Monitoring &amp; Troubleshooting<ul><li>Monitor network performance using Zabbix, PRTG, and Cacti.</li><li>Respond to critical alerts, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve L3 network issues.</li><li>Ensure maximum uptime through proactive issue identification and resolution.</li><li>Provide on-call support during major incidents and outages.</li></ul>Wireless Network Management<ul><li>Deploy and administer wireless solutions including UniFi, Aruba, and TP-Link Omada access points.</li><li>Configure SSIDs, VLANs, guest networks, roaming, and wireless controllers.</li><li>Optimize wireless coverage and security across office environments.</li></ul>Documentation &amp; Network Design<ul><li>Create and maintain High-Level (HLD) and Low-Level (LLD) network diagrams.</li><li>Prepare technical documents including implementation plans, change requests, SOPs, and network topology diagrams.</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation of network devices, IP addressing, and inventory.</li></ul>Data Center &amp; Infrastructure Support<ul><li>Support data center operations including structured cabling, rack management, UPS, CCTV, and access control systems.</li><li>Collaborate on capacity planning, redundancy, and high-availability strategies.</li><li>Assist in network deployment during office expansions and infrastructure migrations.</li></ul>Virtualization &amp; Server (Network-Related)<ul><li>Work with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, XCP-NG, and XenServer for network-related configurations.</li><li>Configure virtual switches, VLAN tagging, routing, and network HA within virtual environments.</li></ul>VoIP &amp; Telephony Support<ul><li>Manage VoIP systems including Asterisk, Avaya IP Office, and SIP trunking.</li><li>Configure dial plans, IVR routing, call logging, and phone provisioning.</li><li>Troubleshoot telephony-related network issues.</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Strong understanding of network protocols and enterprise networking.</li><li>Hands-on experience with Cisco switching &amp; routing.</li><li>Expertise in firewall administration and network security principles.</li><li>Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Ability to prepare clear technical documentation.</li><li>Experience with DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing design.</li><li>Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, OVH) is a plus.</li><li>Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, PRTG, Cacti).</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, or related field.</li><li>Master&rsquo;s degree preferred.</li><li>Professional certifications strongly preferred:</li><li>CCNA (Required)</li><li>PCNSA (Preferred)</li><li>CCNP ENCOR (In Progress / Preferred)</li><li>AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate (Plus)</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>3&ndash;7+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, administration, and security.</li><li>Proven experience in managing enterprise firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless networks.</li><li>Experience supporting medium to large-scale multi-site environments.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs70,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
