 We are seeking a Procurement Manager to support one of our nonprofit clients in the health and human services (HHS) sector. This role is hands-on and client-facing, combining day-to-day procurement execution with opportunities to shape strategy and improve processes.
 
 
 
 
 
 The Procurement Manager will ensure that purchasing activities comply with 2 CFR 200 Uniform Guidance and other government grant requirements, while driving efficiency, cost savings, and vendor performance.
 
 
 
 
 
 What You&rsquo;ll Do
 
 
 &bull; Develop and manage procurement policies, contracts, and vendor relationships.
 
 
 &bull; Execute purchase orders, review invoices, and oversee contract renewals.
 
 
 &bull; Lead vendor negotiations and RFP processes.
 
 
 &bull; Monitor compliance with 2 CFR 200 and nonprofit procurement standards.
 
 
 &bull; Conduct cost analyses and recommend improvements.
 
 
 &bull; Manage procurement issues and collaborate with client leadership to resolve challenges.
 
 
 &bull; Supervise and mentor team members while delivering day-to-day procurement tasks.
 
 
 
 
 
 What We&rsquo;re Looking For
 
 
 &bull; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business, supply chain management, procurement, or related field.
 
 
 &bull; 5+ years of procurement experience, ideally with nonprofits, HHS, or government-funded organizations.
 
 
 &bull; Strong knowledge of 2 CFR 200 procurement requirements.
 
 
 &bull; Skilled in vendor negotiations, contract management, and compliance oversight.
 
 
 &bull; Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with procurement/ERP systems.
 
 
 &bull; Strong communication and relationship-building skills with executives, vendors, and staff.
 
 
 
 
 
 Work Environment
 
 
 &bull; Hybrid: 2&ndash;3 days per week onsite in Chicago, balance remote.
 
 
 &bull; Occasional travel within Greater Chicagoland; limited out-of-state travel may be required.
