We are seeking a dependable, experienced Farm Mechanic to join our agricultural operation. This individual will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a wide variety of farm equipment to keep our operation running efficiently throughout the year.The ideal candidate is self-motivated, mechanically inclined, and capable of working independently while prioritizing equipment run time during busy planting and harvest seasons.Responsibilities<ul><li>Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues on farm equipment.</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance on tractors, trucks, trailers, irrigation systems, and harvest equipment.</li><li>Service and repair diesel and gasoline engines.</li><li>Troubleshoot GPS, monitor, and precision agriculture systems.</li><li>Conduct seasonal equipment inspections and prepare equipment for planting and harvest.</li><li>Weld and fabricate parts as needed.</li><li>Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.</li><li>Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe.</li><li>Assist with general farm operations when necessary.</li><li>Respond to equipment breakdowns.</li></ul>Equipment Experience PreferredExperience working on:<ul><li>Tractors (John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, etc.)</li><li>Sprayers</li><li>Planters</li><li>Potato planting and harvesting equipment</li><li>Semi trucks and trailers</li><li>Skid steers and loaders</li><li>Irrigation equipment</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>3+ years of agricultural, diesel, heavy equipment, or related mechanical experience preferred.</li><li>Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics.</li><li>Welding and fabrication experience preferred.</li><li>Ability to operate farm equipment safely.</li><li>Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus).</li><li>Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to work extended hours during planting and harvest seasons.</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Competitive hourly wage based on experience.</li><li>Paid time off and holidays.</li><li>Retirement plan and/or health insurance.</li></ul>About UsWe are a family-owned farming operation committed to producing high-quality crops while maintaining a safe, efficient, and team-oriented workplace.
