The team is dedicated to delivering precise and reliable surveying services tailored to client needs.Role DescriptionIdaho Survey Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the company by managing invoices, collections, payment processing, and customer account reconciliation. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer service focused, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with project managers and other staff.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Generate and distribute accurate client invoices based on project billing information.</li><li>Monitor Accounts Receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances in a professional and timely manner.</li><li>Process and apply incoming payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and credit card payments.</li><li>Reconcile customer accounts and investigate payment discrepancies.</li><li>Maintain accurate financial records and documentation within accounting software systems.</li><li>Communicate with clients regarding invoices, payment status, and account inquiries.</li><li>Coordinate with project managers and administrative staff to ensure billing accuracy and timely invoicing.</li><li>Prepare Accounts Receivable reports and assist with month-end financial processes.</li><li>Support collection efforts while maintaining positive client relationships.</li><li>Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.</li></ul>Reporting &amp; CollaborationReports to:<ul><li>Accounting Manager</li></ul>This position works closely with project managers, survey crews, administrative staff, and company leadership to ensure accurate billing, timely collections, and excellent client service.Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred.</li><li>Minimum 2 years of Accounts Receivable, bookkeeping, or accounting experience preferred.</li><li>Strong understanding of invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.</li><li>Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is preferred.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication abilities.</li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>Professional and customer-focused approach when interacting with clients.</li><li>Experience in construction, engineering, surveying, or other project-based industries is a plus.</li></ul>Compensation &amp; BenefitsCompensation:$25 - $28 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications.Benefits Include:<ul><li>Paid holidays each year</li><li>Flexible paid time off</li><li>Paid sick days</li><li>Paid paternity/maternity leave for birth or adoption</li><li>Medical insurance with 100% of employee premium paid by the company, and 50% of spouse/child/family premium paid</li><li>Life and accidental death insurance</li><li>Annual bonus opportunities</li><li>401(k) retirement plan with employer match</li></ul>Why Join Us:<ul><li>Join a collaborative, quality-focused team supporting a wide range of survey projects throughout Southern and Central Idaho.</li><li>Gain hands-on experience in both accounting operations and project-based business administration.</li><li>Collaborate with survey professionals, project managers, and company leadership in a growing and respected organization.</li><li>Join a company that values precision, teamwork, and professional development.</li></ul>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status.Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hourWork Location: In person
