Role Description
Idaho Survey Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the company by managing invoices, collections, payment processing, and customer account reconciliation. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer service focused, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with project managers and other staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and distribute accurate client invoices based on project billing information.
- Monitor Accounts Receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances in a professional and timely manner.
- Process and apply incoming payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and credit card payments.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate payment discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation within accounting software systems.
- Communicate with clients regarding invoices, payment status, and account inquiries.
- Coordinate with project managers and administrative staff to ensure billing accuracy and timely invoicing.
- Prepare Accounts Receivable reports and assist with month-end financial processes.
- Support collection efforts while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

This position works closely with project managers, survey crews, administrative staff, and company leadership to ensure accurate billing, timely collections, and excellent client service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of Accounts Receivable, bookkeeping, or accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional and customer-focused approach when interacting with clients.
- Experience in construction, engineering, surveying, or other project-based industries is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation:
$25 - $28 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications.
